There’s a story to that image. It’s from @tessakiros first #cookbook called #Twelve . We were shooting in #Tuscany ( the book is about the local #cuisine divided in #seasons and months, hence the title) and were more or less done. Tessa just needed a #summer shot of the lovely #tarts you see at the bottom of the pic. It was late September, ( October?) and leaves were already falling, so to get an area with green trees wasn’t easy. We got into my tiny Fiat and drove like mad around, chasing the fading #golden light. I saw this hill in the distance, we rushed there, jumped out of the car, three lunatics with hands full of things. #Stylist @michailtouros set up the stage quickly, we found the angle, Michail got rid of his shoes and wore my #leather western #hat which I had in the car for some reason, I clicked the shutter a few times ( Fujifilm #Velvia#film , using the Bronica ETRSi and I’m guessing an 105 lens) and run back into the car to drive off. About 15 minutes for the whole thing. If someone was looking they’d thought we were mental. Which we were. Right #tessakiros#michailtouros ?
Weekends in Tuscany are reserved for open air markets where in the fall we are lucky enough to find #porcinimushrooms in abundance. Now off to the kitchen to make risotto laced with these velvety guys!
