La Habana Vieja is bathed in this magical hazy light that makes it photograph perfectly. The crumbling architecture and chipped baroque porcelain clearly display the affects of the American embargo, but don’t depreciate its sheer magnificence.
The fear of coming to this place in search of treasures for Isla Vida loomed, but the curiosity and need for adventure was stronger! We have one of a kind, handmade pieces from this place that we acquired through a “people to people” trip to Cuba. Despite the history of our governments, we have so much to learn and benefit from our neighbors.
Try not to let irrational fear dictate where you travel, who you meet, and what you do. Having an open mind puts you in front of endless possibilities and experiences.
Have a fearless week everyone!
