You set a goal....
You think it's going to be plain sailing...
You hit a setback...
You find it hard to get going again and you quit altogether....
The questions I would ask here is: Was the goal something that was achievable over a period of time?
Was it a something you knew you could achieve?
Was reaching this goal going to make you happier?
Reaching a long-term goal will bring a sense of achievement and pride that you managed to overcome every bump in the road to get you to your desired outcome. It will certainly make you happier reaching this goal over a period of time after so much hard work.
When setting my own goals I always ask "Will reaching this goal make me happier?"
I know from the outset whether it will or not. 👇
Take the question above into account when you are striving for a particular goal. You will have much more chance of success if you enjoy every part of the journey- the beginning and end. ✅🙌💪
I WAS WRONG !!!!
When I started out on my own journey I was coming from a dark ,lonely , unhappy place . No-one knew truly how I felt about my size and shape or what was going on behind the scenes and the smiling fat guy . I ASSUMED WRONGLY that when I started to change for the first time , get healthy, get happier and take control of the situation that caused my misery that everyone else would be as delighted as I was . .
Not the case .
It bothered me . It impacted on my new found self confidence for a short time too until I realised what it really mean't to me . Compared to sorting myself out it mean't so little it didn't even bear thinking about . .
When you spend a lifetime trying to PLEASE everyone around you to DETRACT from your own lacking in self esteem those opinions are your life blood . They matter TONNES . .
When you take control and start to battle down your demons , become TRULY SELF AWARE and responsible for sorting your own sh$t , then those opinions become background noise . It's awesome to have the support of those around you BUT not essential . Certainly not a deal breaker . .
I was loving my journey . I was seeing in the mirror a shape change I honestly thought was IMPOSSIBLE ... thats a very cool feeling . I wanted everyone to share that . I was naive . Not everyone wants to see you WIN !!! We much prefer to see others fail and unleash the much awaited " I knew it wouldn't last " . Sad but true . .
You'll quickly learn .You can do this ALONE . You don't need the approval or rubber stamping of others . You need your own belief that it's possible and a commitment to better yourself ... nothing more .
Ask them to be happy for you and if they are ... FANTASTIC !! .
If they're not ... it says more about them , trust me 😉
People see us training and always say ' Wow well done. You guys work so hard'.
This is true. But we also like to take time out too. Together as a team.
You see when it comes to getting long lasting RESULTS week in week out its so important IMO to try to create an atmosphere where people want to come and train and want to meet. .
I always try my best to make my small group training THE BEST PART OF ANYONE'S DAY!!!!

I take huge pride in my work and getting the best possible results is what I strive for. JUST MAN UP .....
Plenty of scenarios merit that tactic BUT not all . .
I've had this said to me when I was genuinely and painfully dealing with an abusive situation , mentally and physically . It was certainly not the right answer as I realised when I instead found the courage to walk away and save myself. I never forgot it though , coming from someone I'd turned to for help .
Fast forward . I shared a few weeks ago how I'd struggled after simply letting myself take on too much and wipe myself out physically BUT more so mentally . Such a frustration for someone like myself who's tackled mindset change in a really positive way over the past few years !! .
Now I was telling myself to " JUST MAN UP " .
Give myself a SHAKE .
Remember how lucky I was and be thankful .
WRONG advice again . I was guilty myself this time of assuming it was the answer . It wasn't ,,, it really wasn't .
In these scenarios it's hard enough to admit , as a man, there's a problem so this dismissal leaves us feeling reaching out was a mistake ...... IT'S NOT!
IT TAKES BALLS!
I know I wasn't needing to MAN UP when I was suffering abuse in silence , I needed to get help to get out off that situation . .
I know I didn't need to MAN UP when I was taking panic attacks , chest pains, feeling totally and overwhelmingly crushed a few weeks ago either . I needed to reassess , lighten the massive load I'd placed on myself , mentally and physically , and catch my breath for a few weeks . .
Thank goodness I recognised in both scenarios that simply MANNING UP would have made both many times worse . .
I've made big changes in the last few weeks and I'm making more trust me . I need to make sure I don't leave myself open to this again because it's the worst feeling and could very quickly get out off control . .
My fear is for those who are being told or telling themselves to ....

Energy drinks ❤️ my favorite things in the world it’s safe to say I’m clearly addicted to them and have been for nearly a decade.
So first impression of bang energy was at body power this year and I was delighted to hear they we’re coming to the uk and Ireland I loved all the flavors but my personal favorite was the peach mango straight from the fridge ice cold ❤️ .
Only 6 calories with added BCAAs and vitamins it a big bonus for me so I would give the product a solid...
9/10 only kissing a point on price point I don’t think the product would ever stop me buying monster but if the price was the same I feel I would go between the two products. But as monster is around on average 1-50 a can and bang is 2-50 I will be sticking to monster
