‘ Sojourn ‘ by Gillian Murphy. This framed original has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. It literally took our breath away when we unwrapped it. It’s just incredible 🧡 and it’s large size makes for a truly stunning statement piece. Available soon on www.kilbahagallery.com
We are so proud to have our home featured in @houseandhomemagazine this month. We put our heart and soul into the reno so it was a huge compliment when we were asked to do it. The house looks awesome thanks to @lesielejulietstylist super styling and @plpix expert eye. I had an absolute blast with you guys on shoot day. Also big thanks to @kirstiemcdermott for the cool write up. I'm looking forward to chatting with you at @idealhomedublin next week. .
Funnily enough I've had lots of people asking me about our dino turtle so I'll post a video of him soon. If you swipe across you'll see a pic of him when we first got him back in 2005.
Easy like Sunday Morning! 😍😍 Is there any greater feeling than having nothing in particular planned and just taking the day as it comes???... I think nowadays we feel we have to fill every day full of 'things to do' when really every now and then we should just slow down and take it easy.. Today we will be doing just that - a lazy day about the house with a Sunday roast and I'm thinking sticky toffee pudding for dessert😋 Comfort food at its best!!!
Happy 'Chilled Out' Sunday😊💆♀️
This is the current situation and it's a big week ahead both home and away.
Large section at the centre of the house due to come down and foundations due to be started. Due to.... I have to be prepared for many delays for whatever reason.
The Ideal Home Show is on this weekend in the RDS and I'll be showing a room set I've designed especially for it and hoping to inspire some good ideas and meet lots of people.
So it's a week of final preparations, collections, setting up and then go time.
Maximalism eh.....this is a tough one for me as I'm a bit of a minimalist or, at least, a happy-medium-ist. The 'play area' (cos we don't have a dedicated play room) is one place where I battle with storing the maximum amount of toys in a small area in a way that keeps everyone happy. This is the tidy side! The growing jungle of hanging plants helps to disguise the rest. And it works....plus I rotate toys a lot. They get stored away and then reappear and they're treated like a new toy again.....if you don't do that, try it, it works! I'm currently enjoying maximum quiet time as the troops are all out at activities. I guess I better put the washing machine on.....I sure have a maximalist list of chores that need doing. Enjoy the weekend all! @houseandhomemagazine #myhouseandhome#playarea#woodenstorageboxes#photochallenge#irishinteriors#cornersofmyhome#mymysixtytwo
A childhood escape! I remember when I could read a book in a day! My Nan was the librarian in the village so I spent some time there with her 💜 She opened up the world of wonder to me. I have fond memories travelling to Carlow and she would bring me into a second hand book shop, it was like a toy shop to me 😁. I'm glad the kids love to read now too.
These are the bookshelves in the playroom that fit nicely behind the door and over the radiator.
They each have a shelf in their bedroom as well.
I must make time to read again!
Happy Saturday X
