Day 19: Cosy Comfort
I’ve been thinking about going back to bed since I got up. Sleep deprived as the littlest weapon has a bug 🤮. I rarely will the hours away on a Friday but on this occasion I’m looking forward to crisp clean sheets, cosy duvet & at least 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep 🤞
📷 Totally unrelated picture......BUT grounds Work started at 7:30 this morning 👏👏 we will have a garden, a place for the trampoline, the hedging can be set and poor Harry will have to say goodbye to his “building site”.....he has spent the last few months digging and making mounds in the garden 😂

Stunning internal shots of Terra-Cotta House our #houseoftheday_ie the stunning refurbishment and extension of a semi-detached dwelling in Glenageary, Dublin, Ireland designed by the incredibility talented @gkmp_architects #gkmparchitects . The project was deservedly Highly Commended for the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards 2014 and Commended for the Opus Awards 2013. The extension is detailed in the following excerpt from the architect's website https://www.gkmp.ie from where you can check out more of their amazing work.
The ground floor rear wall is removed to open the house to the south-facing garden. A series of cranked and faceted walls are made that enclose a new dining area and associated external terraces. The angled walls create deep thresholds between inside and outside and make niches for benches. They are made from blockwork and are faced in render and terracotta tiles. The timber roof of the extension is covered in sedum to have a visual connection with the garden when viewed from the upper floor. A rooflight is made at the point of connection between the new and the existing to pull light into the plan.

It's not very often I will post photos of my home I'm in now because every thing in it I want to change .. I do love my hall at night though and the use I made of the ikea plant stand . Our hall is too small to have a console table so we made use of the space we have . The hall looks so much darker in this photo i like how it comes acorss because its very blue but i liked it at some stage because i chose it#rentalhome#decor#interiordesign#iloveinteriors#irishfamilies#irishhomes#houseandhome
We teamed up with @chill_insurance recently to find out what makes the ultimate Irish home, link in bio 👉Priorities have changed in recent years and there's no doubt that open plan living is still proving a huge hit, especially with young families. Fire places however (and stoves) are our no. 1. You just can't beat it. What makes your house a home? We'd love to hear your thoughts 💭 .
