BUILDING A VISION
The mix of energy and experience that our founder, Ultan O'Lorcain and his team at INNOVATIVE HOME SOLUTIONS provide is the perfect foundation for executing creative projects.
Our vision is best expressed through our multifaceted approach to the design and construction of bespoke homes and their interiors. The key to our success across the platforms of Design+Build+Interiors has been to establish a vision and deliver beautiful yet functional homes, that are sympathetic to sustainable design and grounded in passive design.
PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES
To make your mark, you have had to innovate and not be afraid to push past what is generally accepted to be comfortable or conventional. No matter what type of house you plan to
build, there is always a demand for exciting new ideas and products to create that dream.
INNOVATIVE HOME SOLUTIONS is not afraid to break convention and find creative ways to express the unique perspective of each client. Our Design+Build+Interiors approach is about freedom in design, considering the practical side as well as the functionality requirements of the space.
KEEPING THE VISION
Creativity is exciting, but it requires skill and experience to manage innovative projects. We live and breathe the company’s philosophy of ‘Total Design’, creating a seamless transition between the exterior and the interior of every home.
The diverse team at INNOVATIVE HOME SOLUTIONS transition projects between design and construction, always aware of budget constraints and important milestones. It is this discipline that keeps elegant designs on course, and ensures that as each project progresses to completion, with all the expectations of design, cost and schedule being met.
Our job as designers is to strike a balance between inspiration and individuality. We prefer our designs to be strong enough to inspire, and yet subtle enough to allow for any clients individual ‘vision’. The goal is to create a space where people can envision and interpret their own lives taking place in the space. My advice for designing for to Selfbuild newbies, is to keep things simple and subtle - no particular element should be too loud or overbearing. Stick to neutral tones and timeless furniture pieces and you’ll be good to go.

“You can always complicate something, but a simple design is definitely stronger” says Colette Sylver, interior architect @InnovativeHomeSolutionsLtd. This pared down, masculine yet modern kitchen is both dark and seductive, a perfect example of keeping it simple.
Perhaps one of the brightest and boldest pieces currently hanging on our Gallery walls, this impressive piece by Danny V Smith is also one of the most exciting. Another shining example of that confident and wild style of painting that we have come to expect from Smith, this particular piece is so stand out vibrant and strong that I feel it would sit well in pretty much any space it was placed. Depicting an elderly man with his cigarette, ‘Deep in Thought’, the contrast between the man and the vibrant colours around him is so much fun; the perfect marriage of old and contemporary. It does feel that maybe a study setting, a living room or a large public seating area, would be a great fit for this, large, modern, statement piece of work. It’s actually really worth getting close to this piece, just to marvel at the blocks of varying bright colours that Smith has used to create this masterpiece.

📷 Some more simple DIY decor - putting my bay leaf trees that I have out the front to good use and using the leaves for decorating candles, I’ll leave using them for cooking to the experts! This alone on a tray would make a lovely centre piece for a Christmas table or on a coffee table.....
