Today was not great. It started out awesome. Slept from 9pm yesterday to about 11 this morning. Everything started off really good but then I had a cough attack that made it feel like I ripped every single stitch, then I tried to eat to help the phlegm go down/away but instead my food was met with unbelievably painful acid reflux. That lasted for about 6 hours, tums didn’t help. The pain felt like I swallowed a rod of fire. That mixed with trying my hardest not to cough made today kind of hellish. When I did cough I couldn’t help but scream out in pain and as soon as I thought it was safe to eat the acid reflux came back full force and made my cry it hurt so badly. This is about when the “caregivers burden” kicked in for my mom and she picked a fight because I asked for the TV to be turned down so I could just sit and focus on my pain. God forbid she misses the news, she was sick of watching “baby shows” (1 episode of Family guy, the Simpsons and ghosted. Apparently those are for babies). Lots of back and Forth ( and held back tears and phlegm on my part )later she basically said I was being too needy and acting like a baby.
Trust me, anything you can think of to say, I said.
“You did this to yourself.”
So. Incase you’re wondering.. I did this to myself. While that’s the most obvious statement ever said, it’s not what you tell someone trying to recover. But PS who tf would have thought I’d have acid reflux/ heart burn for the first time in my life!?! How does one prepare for that especially when it’s SO painful even when on pain killers that you literally actually think it might kill you!?! For the rest of the night I’m just going to lay here taking short breathes and try to sleep and prepare for my follow up appointment tomorrow!! I’m excited to finally see what there is to see! #ipickedthis#unsupportivemom

Toasting and drying Wild Rose Hip that I picked out on the islands of the Gothenburg archipelago yesterday. This little Scandinavian super fruit is supposedly a wonder medicine and it also taste amazing🌹🌹🌹
"Morning forage success! On a morning walk from @travaasa #Hana we found coconuts to add to the fruit we found yesterday. We broke open the coconuts on lava rock and made an amazing fruit salad. Real food is the only ingredient in this breakfast." - @primallifehawaii
