I meant to post this a while ago but I totally spaced it. Here’s my version of @heathermahler88’s snake girl. This was super fun! And most of the people I draw have sunglasses on because I’m bad at drawing eyes. 🤷🏽♀️
The uncropped image is more interesting. There’s almost a “there” there. I purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 with an Apple Pencil because of production delays with the Wacom Cintiq Pro 24. This led to other expenses: an Urban Armor Gear Metropolis case, which requires a special, delicate technique to attach the back cover (at the risk of cracking your screen if you get the order of the corners wrong). I also purchased the Apple Smart Keyboard, which, after some combinatorial geometry, will work with the UAG Metropolis case. But the Apple Pencil requires getting used to. I may apply a PaperLike screen protector (if it’s compatible). #procreate#abstraction#ipadpro
Questions for fellow iPad Pro users: which version of photoshop do you use? Is there a student version for cheaper? Is procreate a monthly payment? Do you have the Paperlike brand screen cover? Do you keep a case for your Apple Pencil?
“The only person you need to be better than is the one you were yesterday.” 💕 This quote is from the book “Girl, Wash Your Face” by @msrachelhollis.
Also, pretty proud of this wreath I drew and lettered 😊
So this drawing is obviously a little different. This is because I’ve been thinking about something very important lately. Someone I know that I only get to see once in a while has really made me feel absolutely horrible every time I see them. A while back, I talked to this person and the last thing they told me was that I needed to lose weight. Recently, they told me the same thing. They also asked me what I wanted to be when I was older and I told them I was considering engineering. They proceeded to tell me that engineering was only for boys and that I couldn’t do it. This person definitely influences me even if I don’t want them to. They have very traditional opinions including gender stereotypes, strong religious beliefs, and high beauty standards. Although I still care about this person, they say many things I strongly disagree with. When I’ve talked to people about it, they’ve just told me that I should cut the other person some slack and not think too much about it because they don’t know any better. But it’s not that easy. I’ve heard these things many times. My self esteem has always been about -5, and I always feel like I’m joking when I say I hate myself, but I’m not. But lately I’ve been thinking about self love and just trying to live your best life. So I have to remind myself how important it is to love yourself before anyone else. Loving yourself changes everything because it’s the first step to living the way you want. So be yourself, do the things you want to do, strive to reach your goals, dress the way you want, and love your body and look. My low self confidence and never ending worry end up restricting me from dressing the way I want and doing different things. You can never really realize how important it is to do things for yourself and not for others. My mind is probably the most toxic thing in my life and it’s a terrifying truth. It’s the thing that keeps me up at night and the thing that keeps me from living my best life. It’s unsettling that it’s taken me this long to really let these facts sink in. So learn from me and love yourself. Continued ⬇️
Guess what drops tomorrow yall! I am so excited to launch this new series of brushes. I have worked on this series for over a year now, Making sure that this set is everything you would expect from my brush sets, and then some. I have roughly 3 parts to the series which will be announced and released once I finish them in the near future. Expect everything from palm trees to rocks, boulders, foliage, mushrooms and more of your favorite mountain peaks. I love designing nature tattoos and now you all can use some of the same tools that I use when conceptualizing and drawing nature themed tattoos. Get excited and please feel free to share feedback of your experience when using the set and share your work with us @tattoosmart, so we can share what you create on our social media platforms.
