Addiction, like other diseases, is progressive and chronic. Left untreated, it can be deadly. 💔⠀
We know that can be a hard pill to swallow, but it's important that we raise awareness about the societal epidemics we face with drug and alcohol abuse in a culture that glamorizes a party lifestyle.⠀
Just as you would receive treatment for any other disease, we strongly recommend opening yourself up to rehabilitation for drug and alcohol addiction as well.⠀
You don't have to go through this alone.. if you or someone you know is struggling, please don't hesitate to reach out and see how we can help!⠀
With all the content I post , it’s more than entertainment.. it’s a product of my research on Social Emotional Learning ... SEL is a growing topic in eduction , and with the thousands that have been spent on research how does organized music engagement activities and programming not fulfill the competencies... A cultural approach ensuring that all students needs are met ... Music Works will offer services to schools evidence based programming , that will put the arts back into schools and hope to finish research on a new model of counseling that is #asca approved and utilizes a more holistic approach ... that school counselors and schools can implement when tending to the emotional needs of students..... @edutopia @socialemotionalworkshop #socialemotionallearning#musicworks#artisticexpression#musictherapy#playtherapy#gradstudent#intervention#sel#evidencebased#educationresources

We also had a program for parents, the parental Awareness Program, which would give parents some insight into behaviors of their child, to help Identify what their kids were into, such as who their friends were, We also had a A College Awareness Program, were students who were majoring in criminal Justice would come into the prison, we did presentations, with them, to discuss the difference of theory and reality, What we offered they couldn’t get from a professor or a text book. a book, and since these were gonna be our future lawyers, prosecutors Judges and police officers, and who could better to help them understand, the maladaptive behaviors of teens growing up, and in trouble, us we were living proof. It gave them a clearer understanding of how to approach our youth and juvenile reform, prison reform. We also had a High School Awareness Forum, and talked about peer pressure and drug Use, we also operated A Juvenile Hotline, the kids, or parents could call u at anytime. We also provided one on one counseling for children and their parents. We were really about saving lives . We did not have all the answers , but we had some of the solutions.
