Mischa Schultz on being awarded the CURO Research Assistance Scholarship for her work completed with us and @whitesharkafrica this past winter. Well done we are proud of you Mischa!!!
"I am a student at the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. I was awarded the undergraduate CURO research assistantship scholarship for my research that I completed at White Shark Africa this summer. The objective of my research is to assess the efficacy of computer programs used for photo-identification and to estimate the size of the wintering great white shark population of Mossel Bay, ZA. With Mossel Bay being such a large aggregation site, it is important to keep track of the estimated number of sharks that visit this area. High aggregation sites should have strict regulations and remain protected because of the decline in population of white sharks.
Photo -identification is a non-invasive technique that can be used on species that show distinct markings. The markings provide a unique “tag,” like artificial tags used in typical mark-recapture studies. In sharks, markings include pigmentation, scarring, and notches on the dorsal fin. When researching and working with threatened and endangered species it is important to create the least amount of stress possible for the animal. With better access to new technology, using photo-identification to keep track of populations in becoming more popular. I hope to see if my research offers an effective and affordable way to keep tract of white shark numbers. An effective, short term study will save researchers time, effort, and funding while providing results that are like more expensive methods."

I am often asked how much time one has to put into Coaching to be successfull, and I want to give you the honest answer on that... but first let me start with the panic text that inspired this share. .
I texted my BBF @manino_gv_pt "How can I tell people you can build your Coaching business in just a couple of hours a day when I can't get my own stuff done?!!!" It was Pure Frustration that I hadn't yet done what I expected from MYSELF [yet wouldn't expect from others]...when Stephanie reminded me we work in PHASES, just like our lives.
I own a tool import company that sells B2B and is about to go through some big shifts that need my attention. I have family in Germany that I spend time with. And I love❤my quasi husband with whom I spent the Summer traveling and working on the Go. I also value the fact that he WANTS to spend time with me and strive to make 'us' a priority.
So how do I coach? In pockets of time, as do many Moms: we do the essential activities in pockets of time, while leaning in on our team for New Coach training support➡️I love you Girls!
Now Stephanie has recently gone through some work changes and has made more time available to invest in her Coaching Business. Right now she is able to practice essential Business growing activities for longer chunks of time each day.
And the truth is, neither length of time is right or wrong. Sometimes I work in pockets, and other times I spend a full day on working with new FitClub Girls and Coaches. So.etime Stephanie works between family Doctor's appointments and other times she has full days. What MATTERS is that you have a PLAN for the time you do have available and that you do at least ONE thing to move the needle in the right direction! .
If you have ANY doubts you can make fitness your part-time gig because you don't have time, think again. We'll show and teach you how to schedule and use the time you need to get started right. Just comment🙆♀️or msg me!

Being prepared👌🏻🍌🍹 If you want to eat healthy you should definitely scan your fridge and eliminate those craving traps that stop you from making process. What I’ve learnt so far is that you can’t go wrong with frozen bananas and berries. Having those two at home I’m more likely to have a smoothie rather than munching on the regular unhealthy alternatives😊🍎🍏 I‘m currently doing an internship at my local school and was running a biiit late (as always) so I threw together
⭐️4-5 regular bananas
⭐️handful of frozen berries
⭐️250ml of yogurt
⭐️water to blend
and tadaaaa - a delicious smoothie to go. Simple, fast and super tasty👏🏻👏🏻It’s so easy to eat healthy. Small steps are better than none!
