You you want to see a change in any area of your life, be it on your finances, or health, or other area, you need to change your actions and your way of thinking. The last 12 months have been a crazy journey for me, a journey in which God showed me that my #relationship with food had to change. One day when I was @women_of_influence_  the Lord told me that I was hungry for Him, not for food. A lot of times people mistake their emptiness for something else without realizing that what will fulfill that empty space inside of them is God, not food, or alcohol, or drugs, or other earthly fale joys. Once I realized that, I began seeking pleasure somewhere else other than in #food . My actions were changed and so were my results! I have lost #150lbs so far and will lose 40 more and this time around I’ll keep all of that weight off for life. We all need balanced macros....each one of us is highly bio-individual.
.
So, what works for your sister, mother, brother, BFF, hubs or significant other will likely NOT work perfectly for you 🙌🏻⭐️. .
I do not believe that we, as women, can go too low carb for TOO long.

Our bodies store sugars in our skeletal muscle and liver as GLYCOGEN....if you consume too much of any carb, it will be then become a triglyceride and/or adipose/fat tissue. So, if you have high trigs, EAT LESS SUGAR, esp processed stuff.

Here’s my carb philosophy:.
.
❇️Practice in moderation. ❇️Don’t be afraid of fruit, but also don’t go overboard. Select lower-glycemic sugar) options, like berries, tart apples, just green bananas, citrus fruits.
❇️Eat 3 veggies to 1 piece of fruit....non-negotiable!.
❇️If you exercise....and, frankly, we all should.....consider cycling your carbohydrates, like more high quality carbs on days you lift and less on the days you do not.
❇️QUALITY IS IMPORTANT 📣📣📣. A slice of cake is NOT an optimal choice, but a sweet potato, lentils, berries, carrot are a better option. ❇️QUANTITY MATTERS. Esp as you get older.....no, you cannot eat sugary junk in excess and/or eat 5 bananas a day and think it doesn’t change you bio-chemically....it will. Blood sugar, inflammation, etc will all be impacted.
❇️Watch the alcohol.....this will make it harder for you to lose fat/weight....you can’t drink like you did in college.....sad, but true!
❇️If you consume less than 50gm/carbs daily long term.....and you are a woman, you will likely mess up your thyroid, adrenals and sleep. So, again, cycle your carbs.

My personal approach.....I lift 3-4 days/week, and on those days, I up my carbs considerably....please see photo....this is an example of what I would eat with my two meals each day on a higher carb day and my muscles say THANK YOU every time.

On my personal page, I posted. I wasn’t planning to post or share anything about my weight loss journey. However, when I see friends and family they’re shocked and ask what I’ve done to lose the weight. Over the past year, I’ve transitioned to more of a plant based diet and incorporated intermittent fasting. I’m not sure how much I’ve lost, due to not regularly weighing myself, but I’m sure it’s around 80+ pounds thus far. We’re all a work in progress, whether it be physically, mentally, spiritually etc. I’m hoping this post will reach you as motivation and inspire you to put yourself first. SUNDAZED I’ve started to incorporate kettle bell exercises into my workout regime and am really enjoying the difficulty with the awkwardness of the weight distribution. I find it’s a more challenging way to lift which engages more muscle groups and requires more attention than other lifts. My technique needs improving but that’s part of the journey. Statistics dictate that I should of failed by year three but here I am still improving both my health, and my Physique year on year.

It most likely won’t happen, but I wanna be as close as possible. I’m gonna up the ante these next to weeks and get mad strict. I don’t really celebrate Christmas so I’m not worried about if holiday parties will be my downfall. Even if I end the year at 231.1 I will be so happy. I’ve worked so hard and I’m seeing my body change and my goals are really finally coming to fruition.

Happy Saturday 6th workout  for the week 2 of my workouts were martial arts training this week and 4 were in the gym! I always combined strength  training and cardio  in my workouts today was leg and glutes day! Btw ladies if you want to grow your butt squats don't  do it lunges and hipthrusters do! 95lb hip thrusters and lunges with 20lbs weights in both hands.I normally go in and do a circuit workout  then end my workouts with cardio.But that's just what I enjoy!  Do whatever makes you feel  strong  and makes you feel  good!.

2️⃣HALO TOP ICE CREAM: Despite my lactose intolerance, I can still appreciate the low calorie yet yummy AF flavors they have to offer. Just don't eat two tubs, K?

5️⃣DON'T RESTRICT YOURSELF: A psychology study known as the "white bear" demonstrates how suppressing thoughts just makes you think about it even more. So, telling yourself you won't think about the cake, or eat the cake will make you more likely to eat the cake. Try having a small slice of cake.

I’m over #100lbsdown with keto+IF. 😁
I can’t believe that in 8 months, I was able to lose almost 1/4 of my weight. Like many, I’ve been overweight my entire life. In the 7th grade, I was at 256! 
When I was 16, for my birthday, my mom let me try nutrisystem. 
For SOO long I’ve tried dieting, working out, etc. I’ve been bullied, depressed, anxious, and overall NOT LIVING MY BEST LIFE and then keto came along!
For 8 months, I haven’t cheated once, I track, and I fast. I’ve worked the hardest I ever have in my life, and it doesn’t even feel like it! I’ve enjoyed every month! 
The #ketogenicdiet has saved my life and given it back to me. I’m on cloud nine y’all! Thanks for being here on my journey! 🤗
