Reality check. You know what the problem is? I keep thinking that this is about losing weight and looking good and I’m listening to ppl tell me not to lose too much weigh bc I’m Latina and we have curves and say that I look great. HOW TO GET STARTED WITH INTERMITTENT FASTING

Your body stops feeding off your last meal for energy at around 6-8 hours after you last ate and it’s usually around the 12-14th hour of fasting that your body starts to rapidly burn body fat as your main source of energy instead of your blood sugar.

After that your body only has your fat stores to use for fuel so you start to burn fat like crazy.

I recommend fasting for at least 16 hours if you fast daily and up to 24 hours if you fast twice weekly for the best results (never over 72 hours at a time to make sure your metabolism will stay at its peak). That way you will see far better weight loss results.

Remember to watch out for overeating before and after each fast in order to get the maximum benefits.If you do you might have to rethink your fasting method.

Okay...this was delicious. 🥑 Add chicken with Chili Lime seasoning and garlic powder, sliced green and red peppers, can of corn, can of black beans (drained), can of Rotel, can of green chilies, and a little salt and pepper into the crock pot.  Before serving, pull the chicken and add fresh lime juice.  Serve over brown rice (I like the Trader Joe’s steam in a bag version ) and top with fresh jalapeños, a little sour cream & Monterrey Jack cheese, and avocado.  So yummy!  Washed down with my favorite sour beer!  This plus The Bachelorette = the perfect Monday night. #fasterwaytofatloss #carbcycling #intermittentfasting #traderjoes

The statement above holds much truth when I walk into any training facility. Many negate the benefits of raising the actual intensity of their sessions, opposed to spending more time and doing more work at a lower rate.

Upon walking into the gym, you should be looking towards how to maximize your total time there. With time not on your side more than likely, raise the intensity of your training. Begin to set a timer for your rest, incorporate smaller body part training between your major sets, or even decrease your rest time.

From the above picture, you see me within 10:00 minutes of a strongman conditioning session that was out together. The piece was fast, heavy, and hurt my feelings just a bit.😂

Needless to say, train with purpose and intent. Keep the chatter to a minimum (be friendly) and get to work.

Spent the weekend celebrating love and getting to hang out with some great ladies!

Getting back to the States was super stressful with some delayed flights and sprinting through the airport...I must have breathed and repeated the "I am peace" mantra a million times yesterday 😹

When I woke up this morning I listened to what my body and soul needed. 
Hit the snooze button, skipped my workout (crazy for me, but sometimes it's needed and that's ok!), Intermittent fasted (bc hello, it was a weekend of celebrating my body needed a reset), meditated and now dominating Monday!

When I go shopping, I grab a cart, go off my list and get everything I need for the next week or 2. The problem is that I’m PUSHING a cart, which causes my Fitbit to no recognize my steps while walking. So you may walk for hours while shopping, but your Fitbit doesn’t know the difference because your arm has been on the cart the whole time.⠀

Instead, put your Fitbit in your pocket. This can be the band includes or just the tracker part. It won’t calculate your heart rate, but it will at least track your steps 🚶🏼‍♀️👣⠀

💫I’ve been so frustrated lately with what I “perceive” as a lack of progress. 💫I’ve lost almost half my former self, so of course I have excess skin and flab.  My waist is still measuring the same after 6 months maintaining my weight loss - despite regular exercise (mostly resistance training) and a strict Keto diet. 💫So I needed some motivation and a reality check. 💫The picture on the left was 3 months into my Keto journey as I was heading out the door to work out. 💫The picture on the left is today - after getting home from exercise and then weeding in the backyard for an hour.  My former self would have never spent another hour weeding after a sweaty work out.  No way! 💫Reality check.  It took me 3 decades to grow my obese body - that skin and flab doesn’t want to let go so easily.  Okay, I get it! 💫I tell people all the time to be kind to yourself and forgive yourself.  I need to take my own advice. 💫Tonight I’m feeling strong and full of energy!  Hallelujah! 🙌🏻 💫

You may or may not know, but November 26th (if I don’t get the call sooner) I’m removing my 12 year old breast implants after experiencing symptoms and health scares over the last four years that no doctor has been able to verify where they’re coming from. After doing research I came across the #BreastImplantIllness Community. To my shock and disgust, there are tens of thousands of girls (currently) of all ages getting extremely sick from their implants. Their symptoms are my symptoms. Their story is my story. It’s so painful, you have no idea. And the crazy (and amazing) part is that after they removed their implants 99% of their symptoms went away within a month. A MONTH. I’m about to get extremely vulnerable with you. My hands are literally sweating. . You may or may not know, but November 26th (if I don’t get the call sooner) I’m removing my 12 year old breast implants after experiencing symptoms and health scares over the last four years that no doctor has been able to verify where they’re coming from. Have you tried this? Things I was not expecting: it's fizzy, it taste like apple cider vinegar and it gave me a little buzz. It is high in carbs because it has sugar but it is supposedly good for you. I was not a fan, I only drink 1/4 of it for 3 carbs.

So been doing some thinking.... and I'm going to switch training up a bit. 😊 
I've been learning about full body training and benefits, but love the typical split training style. 💪🏼

Full-body training

If your goal includes starting a beginning weight training program, general fitness, building general athleticism, muscular endurance training, developing power, increasing plyometric power or if you desire to complement an aerobic training program with resistance training then full-body is best.

Split-training

If your goal includes developing maximum amounts of muscle mass, continuing an intermediate or advanced weight training program, developing maximum strength or simply want to maintain your current levels of muscle mass and strength then a split routine is best.

 However, I'm gonna meet in the middle, and this week I'm doing full body and then next week my 3 day splits. 👉🏼 Repeat.  I'll also be hitting at least my 200 calorie burn on some type of cardio work.  5 to 6 days a week for the next few weeks before I increase that as well. 🏃🏻‍♀️ •
As far as my eating goes - I'm still not counting calories, but I'm being a slight more aware of the crap I am eating, and doing a good 75/25 rule (bc 80/20 is just asking way too much lmao!) I'm trying to get back on my fasting schedule but I've been extremely lazy about it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ #WithstandTheWeight 🏋🏻‍♀️

@WholesomeSweets is found in some speciality health foods stores like Sprouts, it contains Erythritol, but its still acceptable because it has no glycemic effect, so you will stay fasted and stay in autopahgy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stevia @intheraw has dextrose as the first ingredient so if that’s all you have access to, it’s best to skip completely or just limit to one. But if you’re doing 5-6 like I was doing before I looked closely at the label, its no bueno.
