I went to the gym today and did 45 mins of fasted cardio. Then I came home and made a mushroom and goats cheese omlet topped with avocado and sriracha with a side of bacon. Even though I really wanted to go to chickfila and get a crispy chicken sandwhich and fries. It's not about perfection it's about one workout or one meal at a time. It will add up in the end. HERES THE SECRET RECIPE!

2 skinless boneless chicken tenderloins
1 egg
2 tbsp of almond flour
2tbsp of Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp of melted coconut oil
Salt and pepper

Cut Chicken into bit size pieces and add into egg wash.

Transfer chicken into almond  flour, parm, salt and pepper blend

Add melted coconut oil to pan and spread evenly, then add chicken to pan, bake on 400 for 30-35 minutes flipping halfway through!

Took some practice but I think I’m getting this classic pose down. Thanks @t_turneyy  for the tips 👌🏾👊🏽 Genetically I’m not really built for classic physique. I have mixed feelings about it anyway because it makes me feel “put into a box” of how I’m supposed to look. All of the IFBB Classic Physique pros have incredible physiques but they’re all too similar in my opinion. Not enough uniqueness like there really was in the Golden Era. Bodybuilding and posing is both an art and a sport. The athlete is the artist. Classic Physique, bodybuilding, call it what you want. Having an unsweetened brewed chai tea at Starbucks since I decided to fast a bit today.  I got a great pool #HIIT workout in this morning and I have a massage scheduled in about an hour.  So I am trying to have a relaxing day out as the past few weeks have been so stressful dealing with my parents’ health stuff.  I may go see the new Aquaman movie too, because I love all things Marvel. Just another example of what I eat on a daily basis to lose weight. There is no "special diet" or "1 weird trick to lose weight". There is however, something called a "calorie deficit", and years of scientific study and research to back it up.

If your in a calorie deficit, you lose weight regardless of when you eat, how much you eat, what you eat. Knowing all this information makes losing weight a tonne easier and more sustainable. I don't have to worry about the "eating after 6pm makes me fat" curse, because there's no science to back it up. Only myth.

Yay for getting 11 miles done!  Double yay for teaching #bodypump and #cxworx right after and not collapsing!  It is always daunting taking these long runs on at beginning of training season, with the added pressure of having to teach fitness classes too.

This is my 2nd race training season being fat adapted.  It just keeps getting better and better.  I had a student in one of my fitness classes ask me what I do for fuel on my long runs.  She was shocked when I said nothing but my stored body fat!  Sometimes I am still shocked that I no longer need all the gels, blocks and sugar/carby drinks to keep me going.  Being fat adapted is so freeing!

Today I had a couple shots of sea salt under the tongue before I ran, then alkaline water along the way.  That keeps me in a clean fast.  Because I do need to be functioning at a high level mentally and physically post run for teaching, I use exogenous ketones keep me on point. .
The true break-fast comes when I’m all done, I’ve def earned it today.  A nice big fat-bomb style shake is forthcoming!

we don‘t have to restrict or miss out on taste. nowadays we can literally veganize everything and by creating a greater demand, the products will get better and better. we as consumers have the ability to CHANGE the demand and to END this insanity we inflict on animals. politics won‘t change anything. it is on us to stand up. historically we always have created the change we wanted to see and we will continue to do so. that is such a beautiful power. let us make use of it. ⚡️💛

I’m not usually one to make a post like this, but I’ve been working my butt off the last few months and I needed to put myself out there so maybe it’ll help others. The pic on the left was back in August, the biggest (and probably strongest) I’ve ever been, but I wasn’t happy with how I looked aesthetically. I had been up and down all my life trying to build muscle and then cut, and I wasn’t really getting to where I wanted to be. Then I randomly came across Intermittent Fasting, and while it seemed horrendous at first in theory, I was quickly able to stick to it and as of mid-September have been following it ever sense. The pic on the right is today, and I’ve never been this low body fat before at this weight. (Maybe when I was in high school, but I never measured it then and in my 30’s now I’m grateful to be potentially back to that). What’s crazy is I’m actually adding muscle as I lose weight and body fat, which is cray. Something fat, something green, something fermented, the profile of the best meal to break my fast with. Broke my fast late today (2pm) with this awesomeness: baked eggs and avocado, served with sauerkraut from @barrelcreekprovisions, cilantro and EVOO. Since I read #Superfuel, I’m a little more intentional in making sure I get all the omega-3s I can and the first meal of the day has to be rich in healthy fats and fiber more than anything. 🥑 I woke up this morning inspired to write an article about healthy eating, which is almost ready 🤓. And y’all, can I say thank you to all 7,000 of you?? 🎊🎊🎊 Oops, I almost forgot, the avocado egg thingy: I scooped a little bit of the avocado flesh to make more room for the egg, added the eggs and baked for 20 mins at 425F. I am super embarrassed posting this because it’s my first side by side! This was me at my heaviest weight. Probably pushing 160 which is a lot for a 5 foot frame. Even though I have lost 35 lbs since this particular pic was taken I still feel like I look the same. So today, I made a side by side and holy crap!! Yup, instantly feeling myself! I lost focus on myself for a long time and I’m happy to say MoMo is back!💪🏼💃🏻 Water spots on my mirror, my bad, I just got out the shower, dressed and took a pic for myself to compare. My eyes only. 👉🏻 Dumbbell or barbell deadlift (be sure to get the booty back and don’t lock your knees) 8-10 x2
👉🏻 Dumbbell glute thrusts (I prefer to do these on a exercise ball so when on the bench watch your lower back) 10-12 x2

I love my journey!

The best is yet to come! 
I thank God I overcame this traumatic time and am grateful I am where I am today!

Cant wait to see where he is taking me!

I hope this inspires anyone who is struggling with achieving their body goal!

It's a big milestone for me today having now conquered 2/3 challenges I set myself at the beginning of this year. Officially hit 15,000 dips and 10,000 pullups in the year of 2018 (no discrepancy if they were weighted or not). 1 target to go. To hit 50,000 pressups and then it's all about 2019!

It’s been four days, post pregnancy 🤰 and I haven’t been able to take the stairs down to the kitchen due to my body’s needs to recover. The house is so peaceful, there is a certain serenity, there is a new family member for the house to keep safe and warm. I can not describe the feeling of freedom to know that I could make it at least once up and down the stairs, today for the first time, and cook up a little meal for my fiancé and myself to share.
