So it's no Trail building job, which to be fair, I don't think anything will ever come close, but I'm enjoying my new job down here in New Plymouth. I'm still getting the satisfaction of building and constructing and being able to stand back and see a nice finished product at the end of what your doing Also working with a great group of guys helps and there is alot of diversity in the work. It's nice to have a new challenge and be able to build on some skills sets I already had.

Initial sketches are the first phase of a design that turns a wonderful project into a masterpiece.
Inspiring hand sketch before the weekend.... Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Some serious progress on our renovation. All of the equipment, wall, and floor tile, ceilings and walls removed. -
As always with second generation space, hidden conditions cause issues. We knew we’d have some structural reinforcement to be done but thankfully, uncovering ceilings allowed us to find a critical deficiency in the structure above. -
Structural support beams were brought in through windows and steel columns completed the structural work what will be hidden in walls. -
Turns out the main part of our house was built in 1816 not 1860 as we originally thought. -
Photo credits go to our fabulous Contractors @veritas_contracting who handled all the structural issues seamlessly despite all the rain.
