#acijs#jaraguadosul#interculturaljaragua#empreendedorismo#associativismojovem#80anosacijs#acijs80anos#empreender#programaempreender#njejaragua#intercultural

Day care with the Greek children and young people living in Roma neighborhood in Mytiline.
Most of them never attend a formal school and live with limited access to basic human rights, education and to the job market. They live under poverty and exclude from society in spite of their skills. They don't have electricity or a public bus route going to their area. Children work some times 6-8hours walking alongside the city, collecting recycling materials.Boys in the most creative ages,11-17 are in the same situation. Those who desire to attend the formal school this year from 11/9/18 in difference with their fellows don't have yet a teacher.
They wish they could at least learn to write and read, to have a chance to live and be part of the society.
Please help us to help and build a right present and future for those children.Give us a chance🙏🏼
I have been asked this question many many times and the answer becomes clearer each time: “What’s the most difficult part about writing a book?”
For me, it has been “me” fighting “me,” or the “evolved me” fighting the “old insecure tied up beat up me.” The most challenging part has been me facing the Goliath of my own insecurities, fighting all the negative stuff that have been spoken over and throughout my life, beating up the taboos of lies turned into truths in my mind, reshaping the foundation of my worldview, and re-wiring my brain to believe I am indeed worth it and whatever that “it” is, it is bright and glorious instead of dull, painful, and sad.
The most challenging part of writing this first book has been the painful reconciliation of my past to my present buried deep in the dark for so long and oppressed so I could shine as bright as i could to please others and mirror others while the “real me” suffered, cried, and threw tantrums in a corner in the middle of the night for not having the courage to expose the “true me” to the light. Such hypocrisy on my part-but that was the double life I opted for so I could be comfortable as I went through the beautiful commotion called life. I wish, I wish, and I wish I realized it sooner: the ashes of my pain have so much life to give. I was too caught up in my own mess. I was too blind to realize a peak in the wounds of my most excruciating pain could be a drop of water in someone else’s desert.
The most challenging part in writing my book has been to retrain my train of thoughts to believe I am not the circumstances I have been through, but rather the polished product of the circumstances I have been through, good, bad, positive, negative, enjoyable, and painful! It was a constant fight - one that required I be vigilant to detect and block anything that could hinder the flow of my creativity.
The good thing about that purge is, I now I know these villains by name rather than feeling weak, incompetent, dumb, and basically like an “idiot” for letting “them” run me over for so long. They are so sneaky, soothing, and can create the most comfortable place to be on any planet! They can the most effective killer!
Sorry for being so lazy on the gram during the last weeks...🙈 the analogue life had me in its claws 😂 The details I will share in my stories...
But now back to work! While I'm preparing the winter collection my posts are still in summer mood ☉🌴 this is the bikini combo I wore in Lisbon: the highwaist Koba.Siani bottom and a striped bikini top from H&M (last season). 💜💜💜
4 years ago today, I got this great review in The Age, of my show 'Is It Because I'm Indian'. The review went on to be published in Sydney Morning Herald and Canberra Times. It helped my show go absolutely nuts. Time to get it on the road again

B A L K A N I C A N E W S ‘This woman who wets her feet in the seawater, climbs the rocks and walks barefoot, is constantly smiling. The sea breeze slowly turns into the scent of plants and leaves of grass. She walks, looking straight into the sun. The afternoon is lovely , mild , seductive. She steps on small stones hidden in the tall grass and the wind blows her thin dress. She seems to be wearing layers that cover and uncover her body. ‘ ana maria rodrigo prado.

EU/KAICIID Refugees Experts Workshop
With KAICIID -
In December 2017.@artbridgesgreece @angelamariarbelaez participated in this expert work shop.
The International Dialogue Centre and the European Commission Representation in Austria co-organized a two-day Experts Workshop in Vienna, where participants developed recommendations to help young people seeking refuge more effectively integrate in European society. The workshop took place at the headquarters of the International Dialogue Centre and the House of the European Union. It aimed to align the efforts of existing organizations and individuals actively supporting the integration of newcomers to Europe, by developing recommendations on policy and programmes, as well as exploring potential partnerships across Europe.
The workshop convened experts from the policy community, faith-based actors, and welfare organizations who examined the perspectives of young people seeking refuge in Europe, to better understand how they see the world and perceive the religious ‘Other'
