::Warning: Wordy Self-Reflective Post:: I honestly do more than just run! 🙂 But I am happy to have hit a personal best of 41 miles weekly miles! In adding the amount of time I ran for the week, it came out to a little bit over 5 hours with an average pace of 7:21 min / mile. I honestly feel that’s pretty reasonable for an avid runner. Those who see me workout, specifically run, you know I give it my all. Always striving for improvement. Recently, I’ve been working on my speed endurance... i.e. maintain fast speeds for longer periods of time. With that said, when I run, I always try to maintain a pace of 7:30 min / mile and under, which I believe my body has become accustomed to. I like to believe because I've learned to regulate my breathing and my endurance is pretty high. With that said, this week I clocked in 4 miles in about 28 mins and 10.1 miles under 1 hr 15 min, putting the incline at 10% while sprinting at 13 mph, to once achieving a pace of 6:54 min / mile. I am sharing this because running doesn't necessarily have to be "boring," since you can mix it up with speed work, short or long intervals, incline (i.e. hill work), flat road, a combination of everything, and you'll start seeing results that motivate you to hit new goals. Which is probably why I tend to be so passionate about running (some will say crazy). 🙂 Plus, overall, running is a great workout! Overall, it is humbling to see that my efforts are paying off, while working hard to be the best version of myself. Next goal is to one week hit 50 miles, while of course staying injury free! 🏃🏻👊💪😊

💪🏻Putting the work in and getting it done! 💪🏻
10 miles with 4 x 1 mile this morning before church and work ✨ •
I didn’t quite know what I was capable of, but I was pretty happy with my progressively faster splits for the mile repeats - 6:41, 6:35, 6:26, 6:23
My hamstring continues to make improvements, but it is a little sore from the workout. I’ll definitely need to do my stretches and PT exercises tonight for rehab, plus an ice bath before bed. ❄️🛀
Anybody else get all the feels leading up to the start of training for a big race? Ya know, the races where you dream up big goals and all that? ++++ just enjoying these last few easy runs, playing with some tempo miles, etc.
Can it just be Fall already?🙊 Actually I'm really only asking for a couple hours of perfect running temps - and no, this 3:00-5:00am BS isn't cutting it.
Summer I love you, but I'm pretty sure my face melted off today. So not cool.

If you’ve spent any time observing kids, there are lots of quirks...In all of them
I don’t think it goes away, I just think we hide it, and I think that’s kind of a shame. The “system” constantly hammers us in to the people it wants us to be. Its nothing personal, necessarily, it’s just easier if we get in line. The problem is, I think it’s pretty soul-sucking
I don’t want to be a “rebel” just for the sake of being difficult. I just want to be who I want to be

The aim of this study was to test the correlation between knee-to-hip flexion ratio during a single leg landing task and hip and knee strength, and ankle range of motion. Twenty-four male participants from a professional soccer team performed a continuous single leg jump-landing test during 10s, while lower limb kinematics data were collected using a motion analysis system. After biomechanical testing, maximal isometric hip (abduction, extension, external rotation), knee extension and flexion strength were measured. Maximum ankle dorsiflexion range of motion was assessed statically using the weight bearing lunge test. Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated to determine the associations between the predictor variables (knee and hip strength, and ankle ROM) and the main outcome measure (knee-to-hip flexion ratio). Correlation between knee-to-hip flexion ratio and hip abductors strength was significant (r = −0.47; p = 0.019). No other significant correlations were observed among the variables (p > 0.05). These results demonstrated that a lower hip abductors strength in male soccer players was correlated with a high knee-to-hip flexion ratio during landing from a single leg jump, potentially increasing knee overload by decreasing energy absorption at the hip. The results provide a novel proposal for the functioning of hip muscles to control knee overload. #ibts#brasilsaude @biocineticabc @drtannure @alexsoutomaior @gabrielgzeitoune @moacirmarocolo #sporsbiomechanics#brasilsaude#biocinetica#prevenção#fisioterapia#biomecanica#ortopedia#edfisica#euatleta#atividadefísica#educaçãofisica#instafisio#fisioterapiaesportiva#treinamentodeforça#corremulherada#30tododia#corrida#running#instarunners#corridaderua#instarun#instarunner#instacorredores#treinamentopersonalizado#riodejaneiro#maratona#maratonadorio
My long Sunday sunrise runs are probably my favorite workout of the week. 😁 The city is still sleeping , the streets are empty, and I pretty much have the trail to myself. 🙏Nothing is better than listening to the sounds of the forest while watching the sun rise through the trees. ☀️🌲Had a solid 13 mile run today! 👊🏃♂️
