I’ve been thinking about doing YouTube for a while now and I’ve finally bit the bullet and created a channel and video ☺️⠀
I wanted somewhere where I can talk in a bit more detail about some of the things I speak about on here- fitness, mental health, what I’ve learned with the two- there’s only so much detail you can get into in an Instagram caption. I may also do videos on other areas in my life not strictly fitness related eg my job, uni, relationships and other lifestyle topics 🤗⠀

High bar has crushed me, physically and mentally, a couple times over the last few weeks. I wasn’t allowing it to crush me again. Are you gaining ground on your goals or do you find yourself periodically reassessing areas of your life only to find out that you are pretty much still in the exact same spot you were the last time you checked in a week, month, or even year ago?
You need to be intentional about defining the person you want to become and then form daily practices that allow you to grow into that person. Practices are not conditional to how you FEEL, they get done no matter what.
Once you form the identity of the person you want to become, write down the tasks you'll owe your week to become that person and then make sure those things get done before anything else. My weekly list includes everything from physical goals to educational goals to my marriage and much more. Make your list unique to the person you want to become and the life you want to live.
What happens if the week ends and I do not complete my tasks? I endure a long grueling run as a consequence. Attaching a negative consequence ensures I get my tasks done and is essential to making this work.
I share this with you because this has created a massive shift in my life and I've also seen its tremendous impact in the lives of those around me. When you make this apart of your life, EVERYTHING changes.

Client Progress (October-November)
This individual contacted me because he wanted to get leaner. His work schedule was thrown off and he wasn’t really keeping up with his nutrition. He told me he needed structure and guidance to get to his goals. He wanted to get motivated again. We provided him with that. He took the tools given to him and ran with them. We took everything slow in the beginning, but now we’re looking to ramp things up
Very proud of my client and how he has followed through. I never have to remind him about check-ins and him not keeping constant communication with me—that’s how you know when someone is serious. Trainers can help provide you with a plan, but you have to want to change. We still have to improve on things, but we are definitely headed in the right direction
Personal training and bodybuilding are my passions. I just want to positively impact the lives of as many individuals as I can. Thankful I get to do what I love, while I’m in OT school

Today is going to be a looong day, so I prepped my lunch 🍴 + a few snacks to take with me and be prepared for when hunger strikes (which happens very often😅). .
Here’s what I brought: apple 🍏 + cinnamon peanut butter 🥜 ; grilled chicken salad 🥗; mixed nuts 🌰 ; hummus + pita chips 🥠 ; chai tea bags ☕️; dark chocolate chips 🍫 (you know I need something sweet after lunch!🤷🏻♀️). .
