My first photo for #outsidethebox
📸 📸 Photo 1.
Enjoying a 'cheeky' glass of rose on a weeknight with my big sis' #outonaweeknight#winelover 📸 Photo 2.
#outsidethebox#RAR 🙋🏽♀️Not even my glass of wine (I drank coke because a glass of wine would have most certainly caused me to face plant my pizza. 😴)
🙋🏽♀️Cream cheese sandwich and unidentified bib food collected and put on the table.
🙋🏽♀️Random pieces of floor pizza. Because, 'why would E eat the pieces I cut up for her when she can burn her hand grabbing the entire pizza from my plate?' 🙋🏽♀️The crayon that E ate significant amounts of wax from so I moved it as far out of reach as possible
🙋🏽♀️Buggy in the background prepped and ready as E is so tired she has a small window before she turns into something that resembles a gremlin.
That is what was #outsidethebox for me. I had a lovely dinner, my sister enjoyed her wine and E charmed the staff. And actually, without the floor pizza and crayon munching it just wouldn't be my life. And I'm fine with that. I like. What is #outsidethebox for me. ☺️
To be honest I’m super nervous about moving. We absolutely love where we live! Our friends are like family and we live in the raddest little beach town. Besides the fact that change just brings on allllllll the anxiety (anyone else? 😬🙋🏼♀️)
I’m taking care of myself during this transition by practicing mindfulness. One of my all time favorite tools for good mental health! And I rest assured because I know that this is God’s plan for our family.
Plus... I am super stoked about living somewhere that shows off these fall colors 🍂
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Last week I posted about how it will do us no good to compare our lives to others, especially on the 'gram. It's not a unique insight, in fact it's a message that has been posted a lot recently. (whoop! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽) Most photos in the squares are prepped, posed and filtered to paint our lives, ourselves, our experiences in the best possible light. Nothing wrong with that. At. All. Unless that is all it ever is. What about all those captured, candid moments that are deleted because they simply don't make the grade? 📸
So, I've decided each week I will post a photo prepped and ready as I normally would but I will follow it with an untouched, unedited photo of what is #outsidethebox to remind myself things aren't always as they seem - that we can't see what is #outsidethebox for ANYONE we follow on the 'gram. The #outsideofthebox looks different for everyone. The only thing that is the same for everyone is that it certainly isn't ALL gingham filters, perfectly flatlayed handmade crafts or the latest asos hipster outfit (at least not without a few baby wiped stains blurred out)... Sometimes life is just 'insta worthy'... But not all the time.
Feel free to share your #outsidethebox photos and reassure me I'm not alone! #RAR 🦁 🙋🏽♀️
So Daddy's on nights again this week which means my usual cleaning routine gets turned upside down and I have to save things like hoovering until the gap between Daddy getting up for work and the munchkins going to bed. Usually just after they've had their dinner is a good time.
I sit them in the living room infront of a cartoon or 2 while I blitz the kitchen then hoover and mop the floors (A regular occurrence as munchkin no2 doesn't like the floor to feel left out at meal times!) Lots of interruptions later where I've had to referee the munchkins and its time for a bath.
I always leave either the ironing or putting clothes away until the kids are in bed as munchkin no1 has trouble getting off to sleep without me being upstairs but once that's done, I've take my makeup off and put my loungewear on, it's MY TIME!! With hubby at work I have the TV and sofa all to myself! One of my favourite watches ATM is Desperate Housewives. I watched it years ago and now I'm watching the box set from the beginning again. I'm just getting started on series 6. Can't wait! There's so much I've forgotten about!
What series can you just not get enough of?

FiveMinuteJournal.com.
3. Решите о чем будете писать. Благодарность..., свои мечты.., планы....., занятие спортом...., питание.., выученные уроки...- словно, о чем угодно, на чем, как Вы чувствуете следует сосредоточить свое внимание.

I am very ambitious. This can be a great quality, but more often than not it leaves me overwhelmed and anxious. I'm blessed to be a stay at home mom, I wish that was all I wanted to be, but it's not. I'm a photographer, I'm a writer, I'm an adventurer and a dreamer. All these things battle for my attention. When I have to edit images, and work on my film project, and manage a home and kiddos I feel exhausted, and guilty for the little quality time I have with my kids. But when I don't have my million projects I get anxious and depressed. I'm working on finding a balance and really trying to pinpoint things that aren't necessary. I found a big one... Instagram.
I love connecting with other people, seeing my friend's stories and sharing a few of mine. That in itself is great, and I won't be going on a crazy hiatus or anything. But it's when I'm trying to like everyone's pictures so they'll like mine, or I count how many followers I've gained or lost in a day, or try to make everything perfect so I can get followers and rep businesses. That is when I can't put my phone down. Yesterday I didn't worry about posting, I gained 12 new followers and lost 8 and did absolutely nothing about it, and it was a good day. I know some of you can't relate, but a lot of you can. I can't live without my creative outlets, but I'll be just fine without 15k followers and free goodies. That being said I'm going to be proactive about saving time I can really pour into my family. Whatever it is you gota do to be more present, sit down, evaluate, and do it! Love you all.
