Holiday Self Care Challenge - 30 mins 30 days - Day 7
1 week completed! Today my wife and I went to a Birthing and Baby Readiness Retreat! Today we spent quite a bit of time stretching and performing breathing exercises. It’s amazing how different breathing techniques can reduce stress and create calmness. Of course we learned several to cope through the challenges during child birth, but a lot of these breathing techniques can be put in your daily routine for 30 minutes.
Pick an activity or something that will help you reduce your stress and let us all know by a picture or video post. Tag me and put the hashtag #30dayholidayselfcarechallenge
Granny (my mum) served mashed potato when she visited a few days ago. We had some spare so I kept it in the fridge until I decided what to do with it - you can't just get rid of valuable carbs like that when the lady of the house is breastfeeding two kids! There are a bunch of ways to use up mash but this is a great one because you can also use up stale bread and any other little bits of leftovers you might have hanging around. And cheese! Here's what I did, but don't be afraid to get creative: grate some cheese, finely chop a clove of garlic and a handful of parsley. Mix it all in with the mash and shape into rounds. Whisk an egg or two in a bowl. Take some stale bread and turn it into crumbs into a food processor and then place these in a bowl. Heat some olive oil in a frying pan over a low heat. Carefully dunk each potato round in egg, then cover with breadcrumbs and gently place in the pan. The cakes are pretty delicate so try to only flip them once or you risk breaking them. Fry for about five minutes each side or until golden brown. Done! Serve with a garnish of spring onion and more parsley to a grateful audience.
Well, based on my previous post, the weather at @draytonmanorpark today couldn't have been more different – just look at that snow! ☃️🌨️😉 We were there for the #MagicalChristmas press event and it's safe to say the festive spirit is definitely up and running now – the mince pies knocking about helped 😋
Just four months have passed since we made our first visit to the park and it couldn't have been more different this time around and not just because of the temperature. Last time was more ride-focused whereas today was less about the thrills and more activity and event-led to spread the seasonal cheer and it was much easier to get Roma on board since she's developed so drastically since the summer – and the mince pies knocking about helped her too 😋
Having bagged a private audience with Father Christmas, I think we're all on his Nice list, so bring on the big day! 🎅🎄🎁 #DADultLife#DraytonManorPark#DraytonManor#FamilyDayOut#ThomasLand#Christmas2018
It’s been such a busy day today, have no idea where the time’s gone! If you’re a child photographer, hats off to you. It’s been a hard day trying to get photos of this little toddler and keep him clean at the same time! .
The photo shoot was for the new line of waistcoats which will be shown soon! 💖
Got to say, my good lady and I love this programme 😍😍 for my insta friends around the world you may have to Google the UK love.of this . Admittedly like most tv, it's not to everyone's liking, but that's what makes us different, right.... Let the chewing on kangaroo testicles commence 😍😉😂👍
Saying that I'm shattered is an understatement. Today was my first whole day with the two kids, Mummy had her 1st day of work since her Mat leave began. This photo probably sums the day up best, Morgan pulling herself up and smiling at me. I feel inside she's saying "Ha Ha Daddy, no chance am I going to sit still and play with those baby toys, I'm far too old for those motionless cuddly toys". #daywithdad
Just a girl, walking her dog...
Delilah wasn't quite 3 when Dottie joined our family. They immediately bonded and are very close, Dottie has been both a pillow and hot water bottle in her time. She behaves so well when Delilah walks her too. The way Dottie looks are her is quite something. It's lovely see.
It’s beach time, folks
