This is Ian Palu ( @iansonip ). He was the first person I saw benefit so greatly from the lifestyle change that results from the metabolic reset program. Like me, and most of the people I like to associate with, he is a natural caretaker.
A common trend among caretakers, however, is the practice of self-neglect. We try to keep positive and try to be a constant reminder to others that all is well and everything is working out for everyone's highest good. But we forget to take care of our bodies. We don't make time for ourselves. We shower everyone with treats and gifts but lack the funds for self-investment.
Learning that through self-love and self-care we can become much better caretakers... can be some pretty intense ego work. But it's incredibly rewarding. Not just for yourself, but for the entire world!
Thank you for being such an amazing inspiration, Ian! Thank you for reminding me that I am worthy of investing in my own health. Thank you for showing me that no one can do this for me... but me. Thank you for reminding me that I can choose myself first, and that that's more effective than sacrificing all my time and resources for others' sake.
