ELENA AND THE SWAN
A photostory ( S W I P E L E F T ⏪ )
One day, when visiting Hamburg, my friend Elena kissed a swan. This scene looked like a remix of the story "Leda and the Swan" from the Greek mythology. The reference can blow your mind, as it follows:
"...Zeus once fell in love with Leda (also known as Nemesis), and pursued her over the earth and through the sea. Though she constantly changed her shape, he violated her at last by adopting the form of the swan, and from that egg she laid came Helen, the cause of the Trojan War." (Robert Graves, The Greek Myths). •
Because reality is stranger than fiction, earlier that day Elena had an spontaneous desire of expression and wrote the phrase "LOVE ALWAYS" just exactly in the wall in front of the swans lake. Like a meta message that crossed all the overlapping of immediate reality and myth. And later on, if it wasn't enough surrealism that day, while coming back home, we met Kasimir, a polish old guy sitting in the street. He stopped us in our tracks when showed us a photo: a portrait of him also kissing a swan. •
The whole message of this story seems to be: kiss a swan, stop the war, love always wins.
