The answer is, for long term wear yes they are. It one those things that you shouldn't be wearing all the time. The thing with high heels is that it can change the biomechanics of our body.

When wearing high heels, your foot is point downwards , which can put stress on the plantar fasica and the Achilles tendon of the calf. 
This will lead up to the pelvis tilting more forward which can increase the low back curve causing low back pain.

You can still wear high heels but don't wear then often. Two years ago I was in a car accident and really hurt my neck, back, and ankle. I have been on a strict low impact exercise routine. Last summer, which was a year ago, I attempted to get up on a wake board. My back started hurting instantly as it totally seized up the second I got up on the wake board. I was extremely frustrated and thought that I would never be able to do the sports I loved again. I wanted to give up on doing anything and everything. I thought why work out and do rehab on my back if I can’t go out and do the things I love?! I decided to not give up. I took another year off to really fine tune my posture, exercises, and properly activating certain muscles. I mainly focused on strengthening my glutes and core, which is known to help with lower back pain. I also foam roll and stretch way more often then I used to. I now can say that the hard work has paid off and I am finally doing the sports I love, with caution, and for the most part pain free. Hoping that I soon will be able to kick up my exercise routine as well. Exercise is not only to look good but to feel good and to stay active outside of the gym. Everyone has there own reasons for exercising. As discussed in my tutorial, the injury to by concerned about the most is sub-acromial impingement syndrome. This may occur due to the position of the humerus during this exercise potentially irritating the structures within that area (Sub-acromial bursa & supraspinatus tendon). An easy way to improve it is to externally rotate the humerus a little bit, just to open up that space avoid irritation.

The rate of ACL knee injuries among Australians younger than 25 has risen by 70 per cent over the last 15 years. In addition, research reveals Australia has the highest reported rates of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in the world. Research coming out of Knee Research Australia, says longer sporting seasons, more intense training, a higher level of competition and a lack of free play contribute to the concerning rise in injuries. He goes on to say that "50 - 80%" of ACL ruptures could be prevented by including 20 to 30 minutes of agility training three times a week to improve the ability to change the body's position efficiently. Injuries can be frustrating-especially when you’ve had your fair share of them. 
But being injured can also be a time for learning and growing, slowing down and keeping things simple.

About 8 weeks ago I fractured my heel skating (at least it was a fun new sport for six weeks🤷🏼‍♀️), and I’m grateful to say that it should be fully healed in the coming weeks. 
It’s been humbling to focus on the basics of self care, allowing my body to heal itself: eating right, drinking enough water, sleeping well and exercising. Simple self-love (and @lacroixwater) has become my core foundation for the ultimate recovery process ❤️

Had recently lost 8 pounds after having my wisdom teeth removed as well as some bone on the right side of my jaw. Since then eating a lot and or properly has been tough. Using this as an excuse to post my weak point today... My legs. What used to be my strength is now a constant reminder of many injuries.

Injuries being: 
2 broken ankles (both)
1 torn Achilles tendon(as well as every other tendon and ligament in my right foot)
1torn hamstring
3 Inguinal Hernias
1 Fractured lumbar/spondylolisthesis (these are just my lower body injuries lol)

I still love what I do and would be in much worse shape had I just threw in the towel and stopped being myself physically and mentally. Everyday is a task some days are worse than others. You might think that's a long list of injuries and I certainly feel them all everyday. However there are others who suffer from far worse than myself on a daily basis. I'm just happy to push myself to get better daily and I'm thankful to still be able to do so!

Because the neck musculature is responsible for roughly 80% of cervical stability, when they fail to support and stabilize the head, the smaller structures, such as the intervertebral disks and the nerve roots that exit the spinal column between vertebrae, are vulnerable to injury.

A condromalácia patelar consiste em uma espécie de “amolecimento” da cartilagem. Não existe uma causa exata, mas a sua etiologia pode estar relacionada com fatores anatômicos, histológicos e fisiológicos. O fator mais comum é o traumatismo crônico – traumas únicos, como pancadas ou traumas mais crônicos, por fricções entre a patela e o sulco patelar do fêmur. A condromalácia patelar também pode ser o resultado de uma lesão aguda da cartilagem femoropatelar, causando fissuras e provocando desconforto e dores que não vêm da cartilagem, mas dos tecidos carregados próximos da patela.

A patela é um osso com formato triangular, localizado na frente do joelho. Em seu pólo superior está inserida a musculatura anterior da coxa – Quadríceps – e no pólo distal tem origem o Ligamento Patelar. Esse componente do “aparelho extensor do joelho” possui como funções a melhora do movimento de flexo-extensão, além de proteger estruturas internas. A face patelar voltada para o interior do joelho possui inúmeras facetas que permitem a articulação perfeita com a tróclea do fêmur – tipo chave e fechadura. As facetas são revestidas por cartilagem articular, permitindo o deslizamento patelo-femural.

Quando flexionamos o joelho, a patela se encontra, inicialmente, “flutuante” na articulação e começa a se encaixar na tróclea do fêmur, mas conforme a flexão aumenta, o contato ósseo acaba aumentando e a pressão incidente nas facetas articulares cresce, proporcionalmente. Isso acarreta uma perda de líquido da patela e a pessoa acaba tendo um choque ósseo. Esse tipo de alteração nas forças que atuam sobre a patela bem como no formato ósseo, pode resultar no aparecimento de lesões na cartilagem.
