If you don’t have time to fully meditate or don’t know how... here’s a few tips to Centre yourself & bring you back. Breathing is my go to.... inhale 5 seconds (or more).... hold (a few seconds)... then exhale slowly trying to get to 10 seconds out (start at 7 & build up) do 3-5 of these in a stressful situation will help you focus & stay calm. Excuse # 14629374 - I can’t change things up - I’ve had success doing these things and now I need to make sure I don’t f it up and I have to keep doing it again and again. Stick with what works even if it’s shitty cuz comfortable is better than stretching.
You’ve had experiences - like we all have - where people were shitty to you and treated you like crap - whether it’s parents, friends, teachers etc. and you slowly started to figure out what would help you avoid being treated that way in the psychology world we call this shaping. You shaped your behavior to match what would help you to succeed with these people and be liked because the strongest survival instinct we have is acceptance by others.
Our earliest ancestors weren’t natural killers like bears or lions or tigers, they had no natural weapons or means of defense so they had to band together or they’d die.
And so now the person you know yourself to be and the person other people know isn’t the true you. And you have this gut feeling still where you recognize that you’re hiding but you’ve known this version of yourself for so long that it’s stuck. Your clients know you this way, your family knows you this way and your friends and friends of friends know you this way.
But it’s hindering your business in a big way. This pseudo shell you are putting out in the world is not the woman who is connected to her gifts and unique abilities. It’s what other people have shaped you into so the things you’ve had success with are where you are but there’s another level within you that is much more powerful and is making a huge impact through her wake because your true gift to the world is you.
You just need to go through this process of releasing that pseudo shell and healing the pain of those events that caused you to shrink back and detach from your authentic being so you could be the woman who was well liked.
You have this burning desire to light the world on fire with your magic. You’re not about comfort...you’re about drastic meaningful change.
