What’s Your Story? .
Storytelling involves structure, whether we like it or not.
And these structure can vary depending on the type of story that you’re telling.
Take a moment now to think about a time in your life that you would like to write about your book.
Now let’s figure out the type of story. There are a few different ones but the main story types that I come across in the entrepreneurial world are:
Rags to Riches - this is where things aren’t great (or downright rubbish!) at the beginning of the story but by the end you’ve turned it around and are enjoying some success.
The Quest - Otherwise known as “the journey”. In this one, you have a destination you want to reach. You don’t have to take it literally though, it can be metaphorical. Along the way there are various obstacles/battles/difficulties that you need to overcome but eventually you triumph.
Man in a Hole - Everything’s great at the beginning and then something terrible happens (a hole that you fall down). At first you’re stuck there, unsure how to move forwards but eventually you manage to climb your way out and get back on track.
Going back to your own story, see if it fits into one of the three structures above. There are others but most I hear will fit into one of these.
Which story type is yours?

Thinking about my next moves and why 2019 will be bigger and better than 2018. .....
People think that when you have kids you have to stop your life for them, but I call bullshit.
I’m exactly the opposite and want to show that having children is just more fuel for me to achieve all my dreams and give my family an environment to thrive in.

More on Insta Stories.
I recently had lunch with a bunch of
Superbabes who told me the story about
an army doctor who stumbled upon a
“FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH”
in the heart of the French Pyrenees.
So apparently people with leprosy &
all sorts of skin disorders were miraculously
healed after bathing in this water.
Long story short, the doctor eventually
bottled the active ingredients of this
“FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH”
& made it available to the masses.
I was so curious, I got 2 bottles & documented my 8-day experiment.
The wound on my foot was a blister that
got infected while I was in Japan
(story for another day lol).
Anyway, everything else on Insta Stories.
One of us is excited Thanksgiving’s tomorrow! The other one? Well, let’s just say she’s not as easy to please lol .
FYI the cutesttttt vlog is up on my channel today! It’s a video of this little one’s first boat ride and it’s seriously some of the cutest footage I have of her to date. Link’s in my bio! 💕
We loved this interview from @portermagazine with Ellen Pompeo, Gabrielle Union, Gina Rodriguez, and Emma Roberts. In this clip, Ellen Pompeo is speaking up, as she usually does 👏🏾, about the lack of diversity on the magazine’s set. She says it’s up to white people to be allies and we can’t say we don’t agree. Also Gab’s facial expressions are too real 😌 #makadrez#wcw
