Gulab jamun was first prepared in medieval India, derived from a fritter that Central Asian Turkic invaders brought to India. One theory claims that it was accidentally prepared by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan's personal chef.
The word "gulab" is derived from the Persian words gol (flower) and āb (water), referring to the rose water-scented syrup. "Jamun" or "jaman" is the Hindi-Urdu word for black plum. According to the culinary historian Michael Krondl, both luqmat al-qadi and gulab jamun may have derived from a Persian dish, with rose water syrup being a common connection between the two. #indiandesserts#gulabjamun#lalmohan#luqmatalqadi#sweettooth#trickytexture

Happiness is when you have left over jalebis and no one to share!
Or is happiness when you enjoy fighting over your favourite jalebi letters with your favorite ones!
Our favorite letters were these yesterday because it was his birthday.
Had not really planned anything special. Went about the day like any other day.
Had breakfast at a new place that turned out not so good. But it didn't matter coz we were playing 'get to know each other better ' a game I invented on the spot and it worked in getting the daughter talking 😉 Two doctors appointments... booking tickets for the coming vacation and the day was over just like that.... Rajma chawal for dinner... followed by singing by Jia on some tracks we never heard before 👼 And then some random jalebi making way past midnight!🥂 It did turn out to be a pretty special day after all. Because we realised once in a while just the three of us make for a great party and should party together...... Raising my glass of milk to many more of such ordinary days turned extraordinary!
Chawal ki Kheer, a famous Indian Dessert, is a definite crowd pleaser. A perfect dish for large or small family gathering and for a beginner to make. The sweetness of the sugar, crunchiness of the almonds and the light flavor of the saffron in the kheer create the definition of Food Heaven. #dinnerisserved#chawalkikheer#indiandesserts

It’s probably the most popular Indian dessert of them all, but try imagining the RASGULLA with a twist chocolate flavour.. Indian dessert - RASGULLA
Twist - Fusion with chocolate flavour , Creative plating, cream, cocoa powder.
Well, it was really difficult to think a creative side to Rasgulla.
Chenna should be mixed with cocoa powder and as regular steps should be inserted in sugar syrup and refrigerate it.
Coat the RASGULLA with melted chocolate and again rest in the refrigerator.
Now for the outer layer of chocolate balls: Blend Oreo biscuits , cream, sugar , cocoa powder with a motor and combine some milk to it to form a dough..
Roll out chocolate ball in small sizes add in the the RASGULLA and coat it with this mixture.
