More head nods and small smiles of "Oh, hello, fellow human, I see you". More barefeet. More peace treaties. More newborn turtles.
More perfectly ripe avocados, more time to read, more 'Pyjamas to work' days, more communal pianos scattered around the cities. More free WiFi, more protected natural ground, more fully paid maternity and paternity leave, more talks around campfires.
We need free airfare for the grieving, the homesick and the broken hearted; more free education, therapy and medical services.
More moments where something catches in your throat and you feel like you could cry with all the feelings in the world.

These stacked beauties are easy-peasy to make and plant-based too. They are made with rolled oats, banana, almond milk, flaxseed and our beauty complex powder. Then topped with berries, bananas, homemade granola, chia seeds and a peanut butter drizzle. Mmmm.

'Macedonia casera 🇪🇸' or homemade fruit cocktail is soooo delicious during this summer heat wave. If peaches are in season, slice and add to the bowl. You can also used canned peaches. Grapes, kiwi, strawberries, and bananas are wonderful too! And to make your own 'syrup' or fruit juice, squeeze the juice out of a bunch of oranges and add a tablespoon of sugar and then add the fruit. So refreshing and sweet 🍊
Slowing down this week. Looking back on the past week I can't believe I got it all done, it's all a crazy blur, a hospital stay followed by two shopping tours that were both so much fun. Now I'm listening to my body and taking time to rest and recover. (And one that waits for you to style a pic ahaha) 🤗 We made this tasty af chicken krapow for lunch w fried and crispy eggs. 🍳🍗 krapow is basically a basil thai chicken stir fry with ground/diced chicken, tons of basil, sometimes green beans mixed w a savory + spicy sauce. Most likely served over rice and a fried crispy egg 🌟😊🍳 it’s also a super fast meal you can whip up @ home!✌🏻⭐️ happy cookin’

A classic that's evolved through generations in our family is this Ladyfinger trifle. A favorite of my uncle and cousin and not made often enough since Nanny died, but I'm bringing it back.
Line a trifle dish with ladyfingers. First layer is chocolate pudding (the cook and serve kind is Nannys preferred but I also use instant). Next is whipped cream (homemade is non negotiable). Chocolate sprinkles. Horizontal layer of ladyfingers then repeat.
I should have been packing this weekend but instead spent my time reorganizing my bathroom. These like-it bricks are one of my favorite bathroom organizers and are also on sale @thecontainerstore. I used them here for my clients pull-out cabinet but also love them in bathroom drawers. #bathroom#organization#neatbymeg

So I thought my take on “a la mode” was universal, but so far this summer, I’ve been getting crazy looks when having dessert with friends. I want the scoop of ice cream 🍨 to sit on the galette, cobbler, pie, etc., until it melts a bit and seeps into the berry goodness, swirling together when you eat and it’s sweet and wonderful. Right?!
