When winter feels warm. October has been plenty good to us in withholding this weather for another month. This has been my first attempt at painting a wintery scene (I thought I preferred the obvious foliage coloured lands) yet I had so much fun playing with how many colours really make up what most consider just white #lifewithfawn
Guys! Tomorrow morning is the release of the Parts of Prairies at 10 am. Such a great time to leisurely wake up to some beauty ❤️
Venturing out of Paris a little to Giverny. We drove because we wanted to do a little road trip on our way to Normandy. But it’s also a very doable train 🚊 ride from Paris for the day.
We went straight to Monet’s house and gardens. Because of some previous stops, we arrived a little later in the day, and due to some time constraints, we opted to only visit the gardens.
Having enjoyed Monet’s paintings 🖼 all during our trip, it was amazing to see the gardens up close. It was early May and everything was in full bloom. But here’s a tip: the famous lily pads don’t bloom until much later in the summer. Spring was beautiful though!
Here’s my tip: don’t miss this if you can at all fit it into your schedule. After seeing a lot of city, it was great to get out into the countryside. The gardens were so inspirational to Monet, and it’s great to see them in person.
your utopia is my distopia.
sometimes I wish i was just normal. like 0815 normal. i think if you just act like everybody else in your culture foes, you wont overthink that fast. you wont question so much things, that it really fucks you up if youre not a stable mind. i dont feel like i am "better" or more worth than anybody else. but in my mind, everybody, even the president and the king and my family members... no one's better or more worth. but i think there are huuuuuhe differences, per example my mind and the mind of a stereotypical businessman or whatever. he may be stressed out or something like that all the time. but i think in the end he will suffer less, than the mind which is always searching for answeds and knows, that it actually knows nothing.. idk.. mentally stable or not, both states of mind have their pros and contras.. but still sometimes i wish a "normal" life.. but then what is normal? i think i finally realized that no matter what, take it how it is, as long as you cant change it. if it needs to be changed, then u can change it as soon as its possible. but before its possible, dont even think about it, you cant change it. thinking like that is very reliefing. love to everyone 🌹 #art#quote#philisophy#spirituality#impressionism#expressionism#kunst#canvas#mixed#materials#textmeifyoureinterested#nohate
My wish is to stay always like this, living quietly in a corner of nature.
Monet is one of my all time favourite artists because he rejected following the traditional approach to landscape painting and opted create his own style. The bohemian philosophy is about expressionism and being individualistic.
Monet's originality lead to him being one of the founders of the Impressionism movement along with his friends Renoir, Sisley and Bazille.

Blue gum. 103x78cm. New soft abstract that will be on view at John Street Gallery in Cottesloe in a few days. I tend to work across more complex paintings and then back to abstract as a contrast and contemplative practice. There is a consolidation of ideas when I work between these two styles. @johnstcafe #gaildellart
