Been very busy this past week. Planning all sort of things for my business with meetings, körvmys, prepared and hosted a sweet event, and much more. Here is some of my pictures from this weekends Battles of the Wilderness III! More is coming on Lings Spektakels Facebook-page~
Let's take a break from London's pictures, shall we? Offered to me in 2016, built and converted in 2017, my Taurox Prime is almost done, in 2018! I mentioned it before but I put some extra pressure on myself when people bought me warhammer models. That's why it took me so long to complete this metal beast. I really wanted it to look like a German wheeled vehicle from WWII! In a cool twist, it ended up wearing colos inspired by British tanks during the battle of Africa. I tested this camo on my Hellound and I must say it grew on me! Hope you like it as much as I do but like always, C&C are welcomed. #PaintingWarhammer#Taurox#TauroxPrime#AstraMilitarum#MilitarumTempestus#ImperialGuard#Warhammer40000#Tallarn#Tank#GamesWorkshop
Letting off steam
The Space Marines are foremost amongst the defenders of humanity, the greatest of the Emperor of Mankind's warriors. They are barely human at all, but superhuman; having been made superior in all respects to a normal man by a harsh regime of genetic modification, psycho-conditioning and rigorous training and yet, even the greatest of humanity can jiggy with the best of them when combat is over and duty can be put aside for the moment.
A completely serious Space Marine, honorable to a fault and committed to the never ending duty, can crack under the pressure of the grim darkness of 40k and the never ending war brought about by the forces of Chaos. Even though it takes a lot to unsettle a Space Marine due to the thorough psychological indoctrination and training they go through, there is a limit. Space Marines are so far removed from humans that they would not suffer PTSD exactly as we know it. However, there is some pretty nasty stuff out there in the 40k universe. Being pitched against the worst the galaxy has to offer and even Space Marines can break under this pressure if they do not take a breather here and there. The consequences of a Space Marine snapping could mean entire Chapters, hundreds of superhuman Astartes falling under the influence of Chaos and must be avoided at all cost.
All Space Marines have their own ways to let off steam. Some find pleasure in the perfection of their weapon skills. Others spend end less hours polishing their armor and weapons to a mirror shine or tweaking their bionic implants for the extra 1-2% efficiency. There are a rare few that however have discovered the pleasure of dancing. Dance is a powerful tool for self-expression, whatever the status of your humanity or your ability to move. It's mood-boosting, allowing bonding even between the transhumans of the Space Marine Chapters and the baseline humans of the Imperium Guard.
I have to confess: when I‘m not purging the enemies of the emperor, I paint miniatures of imperial heroes.
Let me introduce you Feodor Lasko. Feodor Lasko is despised by thousands of Astra Militarum in the Vigilus System, for he has a reputation for making callous, spur-of-the-moment executions – his role, however, is as much warrior as disciplinarian. Drop Force Imperator of the 46th Zetetic Tygers have been engaged in a running battle against a monstrous predator – the kind that claimed Lasko’s eye and right arm on the nearby planet of Densa Grande. He torched that beast with his plasma pistol and hopes to achieve similar results on Vigilus. #killteam#killteamcommander#killteamcommanders#paintingwarhammer#warhammer40k#warhammer40000#astramilitarum#imperialguard#commissar
