from @thetipsymuse. The Scottish Peach is a recipe I found on Rinquinquin website. However my first try, strictly following the recipe, didn't excite me as much. I switched up a few ingredients, Compass Box Glasgow Blend Scotch for a bit smokiness, PX sherry instead of Ruby Port ( mainly I dont have Ruby Port on hand), early grey honey syrup instead of regular syrup. The end result is much richer and nicer. .
Th Scottish Peach 🍑 .
40 ml Compass Box Glasgow Blench Scotch @compassboxwhiskyco
20 ml Rinquinquin
20 ml PX sherry
30 ml lime juice
20 ml earl grey honey surup
3 dashes peychaauds
1 dash orange flower water
Garnish: cross cut peach slice, mint sprigs and clear ice
Shake, strain and serve. Sometimes you see a recipe with good formula but the end result is not as great as you have imagined, by swapping out 1-2 ingredients, you can design it to your taste! Also I highly recommend Compass Box whisky for mixing! .

Sorry we caught you in the middle of a massive unloading session I will be back to photograph your beautiful place next month. Newton House is a stunning location just outside Yeovil and here they make the award winning Newton House Gin. 3 awards in a year for this delicious gin so you don’t have to take my word for it. Looking forward to sipping this neat in front of our open fire as the weather closes in and I have to start thinking about C*^%#•@£s... In the meantime I will be popping back to Newton house for their tea and cake weds starting in Oct. tea, cake, gin, 16th century house, gin, countryside, cake, gin and passionate Somerset producers, and gin. On our way back home we popped into the West Country Buffalo Farm. Great big buffalos stomping around the Somerset levels making delicious milk and meat. We are now the proud owners of 2 tubs of the best ice cream I have ever tasted, burgers, sausages and a huge joint for Sunday. I think it will be my first try of buffalo? Played around with an espresso martini last weekend. Couldn’t find coffee beans for the traditional garnish. So decided to use a @kopiko.id candy instead. But it got me thinking: “why not make a Kopiko inspired cocktail?” I guess that’s a future project! Any suggestions how I’d incorporate the candy into a drink?

During my travels in China, I was introduced to Tieguanyin tea - a particular variety of Chinese oolong tea, which sits between the category of a green and black tea. I was charmed by its beautiful light and refreshing taste, I decided to make my own Tieguanyin tea syrup and include it in my Catch of TEA - Teeling Small Batch Whisky, Tieguanyin tea syrup, citrus acid, and chocolate bitters.
Pour-Over Mezcal Negroni
1 oz. Vida Mezcal (@delmagueymezcal)
1 oz. Campari (@campariofficial)
1 oz. Punt E Mes (@puntemes_it)
2 dashes Moondog bitters (@bittered_sling)

A few things brought me here. First, Fede (@welcometomybar) uploaded a post recently which reminded me how tasty a mezcal Negroni was. Second, I remember Faith (@barfaith) talking about "pour-over coffee" cocktails a while ago, which is something I've always wanted to try. Given that coffee and mezcal work so well together, I thought this would be the perfect cocktail to try as my first pour-over coffee cocktail.
Such an easy technique to do, that can yield some seriously tasty results. I assembled my mezcal Negroni stirred, like I normally would, then poured it over some coffee grounds in a dripper. The cocktail filters out, lightly "infused" with coffee notes. Some smoky, peppery Moondog bitters were the perfect finishing touch to round out this delightful aperitif. 😋
DAY ON A PLATE || WTF!!! No gluten, grains, beans, legumes, dairy, sugar, unicorn poop or even salted caramel swirls... WTF do I actually eat, you wanted to know! So, I wrote it aallllll out for you. You're Welcome. ☝️
As Danny Meyer once said “a cocktail done right can really show your guest or customer you care.” This is a perfect example; stunning colors, separation and presentation 👌🏻. ————————————————————————-
1.5 oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin
1 oz. St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur
0.75 oz. Butterfly Pea Tea
0.5 oz. Lime juice
0.5 oz. Simple syrup
0.75 oz. Aquafaba or egg whites (for foam)
Muddle blackberries and then add the rest of the ingredients. Dry shake and pour into a coupe. Garnish with a dehydrated butterfly pea flower.

Last week I had the pleasure of being a part of a 4 days trip to Cuba with the Havana Club team.
We had a short trip to the city of Cojímar, known mainly for being the setting of Ernest Hemingway's book "the old man and the sea." This was the perfect setting for a picture with Havana Selectión de Maestros Rum, a perfect blend of some of Havana Club's most prestigious barrels, hand-picked under the careful supervision of the Maestros Roneros guild of Cuba.
This rum brings smoky oak notes and a smooth finish of spice and hint of sweet pecan. Enjoy it near or in a stirred cocktail to enjoy the full complex depth of this rum.
