Lovely morning spent gardening, even managed a quick dip in the pool. Trimmed our criss-cross ivy, shaped some lollipops when a storm came up and it poured! 🌧 ☔️ ⛈ but it was short-lived, birds are chirping and sun is out again ☀️ that’s why I love Johannesburg. 🎉🎊🎉🎊 #ilovejozi#johannesburg#ludwigroses
Today I was in Alex again to teach story telling. It was amazing, again, i will tell you more later but want to share this captured moment now when i drove out of the school back home. This beautiful strong African lady needed to cross the road with her son while carrying a heavy load, we can all imagine the urgency to start moving, but she didn’t. She waited real long, there were cars coming and although i could see a gap she could use to cross the street while running she didn’t, she waited. She waited patiently. And then she crossed patiently because a car stopped and let her do the crossing. She crossed over patiently while holding her son’s hand and while carrying her precious load. #stories#alexandra#ilovejozi#braveandbeautifulpeople#streetphotography

Yesterday I started my first lesson of a six week Story workshop at Iphutheng in Alexandra. I taught 2 classes that if you want to create a story you will always have to think of something that happens. A few of the students were very brave and told the whole class a story based on random input words. #dalaindaba#literatureworks#ilovejozi#iphutheng#teachastory#tellastory
