This has absolutely nothing to do with weddings…but wanted to share…
Back at the beginning of September, I had the pleasure of traveling back to the north of England. A place where I spent 5 wonderful years of my childhood. It was and always will be one of my homes.
When I was there, I made the trek 1 hour south on the train to the ancient city of York to visit one of my favorite spots for a good cuppa.
Although there are two tearooms located in York, the @bettys on Stonegate is the one pictured here…and it is the epitome of small, quaint, and completely charming. It is perfect for an afternoon tea accompanied by amazing hand crafted pastries…and my favorite, Yorkshire Rarebit (cheese will always be my downfall). I mean, Betty’s did first open in 1919…so they must be doing something right.
I miss walking down those cobbled streets arm in arm with my closest friends, stopping in for tea, and hitching an impromptu afternoon ride on the train. Oh England, you have my heart in so many ways. Pretty please, someone hire me to plan your wedding there! I promise to show you all of the beautiful places, and talk about wedding details in ancient castles over copious amounts of tea and handmade scones. It would be my honor to be your tour guide!
Well that’s it for my time in UK for now. To my friends of past and new ones, thank you for the luv you’ve shown to this American. I shall cherish each moment, conversations, selfie, drink, meal and laugh we’ve shared. Bless you all and see you all again here or States side ❤️🇬🇧
