It’s all natural honey, but in powdered form — check out the nutritional information! I used Holy Hive Honey to make these Pumpkin Fat Bombs yesterday, and they came out so perfect! You can also use it to naturally sweeten drinks or for baking.
Pumpkin Fat Bombs: (Keto, GF, DF, Paleo) •3/4 cup coconut butter
•1/3 cup shred coconut
•1/2 cup coconut oil
•1/4 cup Holy Hive Honey
•1/4 tsp pink Himalayan salt
•3/4 cup organic pumpkin purée •1 T cinnamon
•1 tsp ginger
•1/2 tsp vanilla
•dash ground cloves
In a food processor combine the melted coconut butter, shredded coconut, melted coconut oil, salt, and Holy Hive Honey. Process until smooth, about 3-5 minutes. Set aside half.
Add remaining ingredients to half of mixture remaining in food processor and combine.
I used a mini muffin pan with parchment paper muffin cups. I spooned the pumpkin mixture and topped with the melted coconut mixture to give the orange/white appearance. Place in freezer for 1 hour, then store in the fridge.

FERMENTED FOODS: While eating pickles straight from the jar isn’t that uncommon, snacking on foods like sauerkraut and kimchi might sound bizarre. HOWEVER, it’s trending! It might sound unappetizing to some, but people are munching on fermented foods for a good reason––PROBIOTICS. Fermented foods can help increase that good bacteria that promotes gut health. Why is this important? Gut health is everything! And we need a balanced microbiome to support a healthy gut. The 100 trillion microorganisms you have in your gut regulate your metabolism and immune system, improve bowel health, aid in digestion, and help maintain a healthy weight. If your good bugs outnumber your bad bugs, you’re less likely to develop diseases like cancer, diabetes, and obesity. While they’re definitely an acquired taste, experiment with these sour foods, BUT with caution! A lot of fermented foods you find packaged in grocery stores have high sodium levels, so make sure to read labels for added salt. Some common fermented foods to try: sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, kombucha, miso, tempeh, and yogurt.
I woke up this morning in my own bed dreaming of Italy. I lived up every second of the trip and now it feels great to be home again. So when I stepped on the scale this morning I feared for the worst. I had eaten all of the pasta, pizza, paninis (featured here a prosciutto mozzarella variation), whole milk, mozzarella, Parmesan, gelato, vino, and more! Yoga? Nope. My exercise was walking and a bit of swimming in the sea. It did not seem balanced, to say the least. But guess what? I didn’t even gain 1 pound. Sheer craziness but also a testament to high quality food and ingredients. However, even though I weigh the same - I definitely am not feeling tuned to my best setting. I am bloated (from wheat and dairy). All the dairy has made me break out on my face. And I’m itching for some intense cardio (says me never). I think if I were to live in Italy again (I studied abroad in Florence for 5 months) I would be able to balance better- but when you only have a finite amount of time to enjoy the glory of the cuisine—in my opinion—it is worth going big. Anyways, I’m really looking forward to getting back into my normal routine this week! Xx #shedontheroad#iloveitaly

Don’t schedule all of your time, leave scheduled time for nothing! ✨
Choose your actions by how you feel not what you should be doing or are expected to do
Surround yourself with environment that makes you feel good ✨
Reduce noise ✨
Stop rushing create transition times to stop and think
Be prepared, use a planner, know what you are doing and going next 😊
Follow these and I hope they bring you some of they feel good moments! For some true health 😊

Isn’t it funny we get so excited for each season to come? Cool clothes to cozy clothes, makeup looks, to the foods we eat. It’s a fun change. I love cozy weather so hopefully I get to bring out some boots and scarfs. Also excited for soup!!! Haha anyone else? Oh and pumpkin!!! Although I don’t like pumpkin drinks I love pumpkin foods! A common misconception about healthy eating is that it is inherently more challenging than eating whatever you want. And sure, it can be. But I believe the reason so many people feel that way is because they are trying to make their life fit around a way of eating, instead of fitting a way of eating around what naturally works in their life.
If you have ever:
• Set your alarm back earlier to make a healthy breakfast, then get frustrated when you hit snooze a dozen times instead of actually getting up when you’re meant to
• Been so bored to death with health food that you couldn’t stomach one more week of chicken and broccoli
• Been is busy with travel, work and social events that you can’t find time for a meal at home if your life depended on it
Sister, stop ✋🏼. You do NOT need to change your life in order to eat well. In fact, I recommend you ONLY eat in a way that you can sustain for your entire life.
• Instead of setting your alarm back earlier, you prep grab and go breakfast that you can scoop on your way out the door, no matter how late you’re running
• instead of holding yourself to cooking full dinners on busy nights, you always have healthy frozen meals stocked
• Instead of forcing yourself to cook all your meals, you learn to navigate social events, work and travel to always find healthy options, no matter where you go, how busy you are or how often you eat out.
The truth is, no two lives are the same. So a one size fits all approach to healthy eating - like a diet or a meal plan - is inherently going to feel impossible to stick to in real, busy, unpredictable life. Instead of blaming yourself for not being able to fit life into a diet, why not engineer the way you eat to naturally fit with your life?

Our inner speech really has a big impact on shaping our lives. We can self -talk 10xs faster then verbal speech. So full sentences aren’t necessary when they are your own thoughts. Which makes it very important how we speak to ourselves. Are being aware of what your telling yourself, are you looking and the mirror and telling yourself how capable and amazing you are? You should! Reinforcing awareness and positivity around oneself will help to put your mindset in the realm of positivity will open space for you toward reaching a goal or just being your best and happiest you. Visualize yourself where you want to be and make small manageable goals towards them. You are capable! And remember,;there wouldn’t be light without the darkness, sometimes positive self talk can be a rollercoaster. It’s called a practice for a reason. 💗
Food - what is feeding you today?
Sometimes I shy away from telling people I am a health coach because although we eat real/unprocessed food, we also don't eat near as green and healthy as I think we "should" or as a health coach would...
But over time I have become aware of the other things that feed my health and my soul. (check out yesterday's post for one of those). A healthy marriage, a peaceful home, margin in life, etc. It's these other facets of health that have such a profound influence on our overall health.
Dieting or jumping on the latest "health" bandwagon are not holistic ways to care for your health. What if our path towards health included listening to our body, eating/moving with the seasons, and knowing yourself? What impact would these changes have on our health and on those around us?
A quick example of knowing my body - I know I struggle with detoxing (whether from the MTHFR gene or something else I don't know) so I add in extra detoxing measures into my life to help my body along. Small steps that can go a long way. 💛
Know YOUR body!
Food is important and I love asking myself what will feed and nourish my body/cells today, but I also ask what will feed and nourish my soul today? What will make me feel more alive today? What will put/keep the light in my eyes?

To celebrate the ending of a season and embrace the beginning of a new one I am enjoying a nice Iced Cinnamon + Nutmeg Almond Milk Latte as it will most likely be my last iced anything for a while. I am so thankful for the sunshine ☀️ , the abundance of fresh produce, and downtime that summer provided me with. And I am especially grateful for the most beautiful day of my life on 6.23.18 when I got to say “I do” to the man of my dreams 💖

Meanwhile, this coconut butter salmon recipe from @paleochef was killer! 🙌🏻
I had to trust the process because the combo of ingredients were definitely unique. The salmon was covered in ghee, coconut butter, smoked (or plain) paprika, cumin, salt + pepper and dill. Also lemon but I forgot to add it. 😋
The coconut butter all warm and caramelized was the best part...I wouldn’t have ever thought to use it like that! 🤷🏼♀️
On the side were the worlds largest brussel sprouts from @traderjoes, simply roasted with avo oil,salt and pepper. ✨

Why are we always focus on the physical appearance? Why are we always judging it?
We have to STOP.

We are mothers. Daughters. Wives.
We are brothers. Husbands. Friends.
We are humans. Humans with feelings, dreams, goals. Humans with LIVES!
We are lucky to be alive.
NEVER give up on something you want and makes you happy! Sometimes it takes time and a lot of perseverance.
But if it matters to you, it counts and you should KEEP going! Do everything you can to reach your goal, to make your DREAM come true.
Find health, happiness and harmony. That’s my motto.

Recently, I celebrated 15 years living in #newyorkcity . Living here has given me a life beyond my wildest dreams and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
Surviving 15 years in #NYC has required developing a thicker skin than I ever thought I could. Personally, at times, I try to be a little softer ... but the one thing that can’t be too tough is my bag.
With all the city commuting, passing through subway turnstiles and speed-walking through crowds I do, I need a bag that’s New York Tough. I had a realisation recently that I haven’t quite been showing up on this page. I show up 110% in every other area of my life so why not here? I am a perfectionist. The problem with this is that I get caught being stagnant and not moving forward because things aren’t quite “perfect”, “not quite right”. Can you relate? Well for me it’s time this stopped. Brace yourself! This page is probably going to look like a dogs breakfast as I haven’t got a solid content plan or beautifully curated images to work with, nor do I have the time to prioritise this as the moment. I think it’s important that I connect with you and show you the real me. Life is too short to hold back and wait for the perfect moment- I am not even sure if that exists!

So often we are focused on those root causes being nutrient deficiencies, foods that do not agree with the body, lack of physical movement, etc. but more times than not there are toxic emotions, trauma and/or unresolved anger trapped and buried as deep rooted causes of DIS-ease in one’s life. And you had better believe that they affect one’s overall health physically, mentally and emotionally! Optimal health comes when we address the whole self. Take some time today to pause and scan your self; what are you holding onto that needs releasing or addressing?
