Mr. K took me to the movies and then planned to try out an oyster bar for dinner. It’s very rare that I don’t love an oyster of any kind, so much so that I ordered this dozen just for myself. I’ve had some #oysters in my life that were too rich for my taste or too pungent, but never one that was too boring, until this one — -#GoldBandOysters . (I also wonder why an oyster focused place only had one kind available, but that’s for another day.)
They’re big, meaty-looking, and salaciously plump, and somehow utterly flavorless and almost tastes like an oyster produced in a petri dish at some shady lab somewhere. I finished nine but could eat no more - so bored - so had Mr. K eat them. I suppose these are perfect for someone who doesn’t like oysters in general but you see the problem with that.
But for a moment there, before I sucked one up — damn, they looked good. @briggsoysterco

(SWIPE LEFT) We spent quite a fun day with our friend @omarsfood and got to give @bohobun a shot and here’s what we have to say 🤸🏻♂️. First off, we got the Steak & Cheese Double which was served with fries for 75 EGP (I don’t quite remember the exact price tbh) and was actually blown by the quality of the sandwich even though I had my doubts at first! The buns were heavenly fluffy, the meat was not that chewy and flavorful and the cheese had that not-commercial taste to it that finely finished off the mix of flavors. The fries however, in my opinion, would’ve been nicer if they were thicker 🤷🏻♀️ As for dessert we went for the Nutella Doughnut which was SUPER good! ‘Amazing’ is the least we could say, the fluffy dough from the inside and the crisp on the outside along with the overflow of pure Nutella waterfalls sent us to a happy place 🤤 Unfortunately, there has to be a downside, to me it was the price versus the quantity, which yet may be justified by the top quality provided by Boho! Overall it was a great experience, hopefully next time we’d get to try the burgers too 🤩
🍩🍩🍩 with their tops and bottoms submerged in sweet, sticky glazed, conceal an airy-glutenous or moist cake-y interior that supports varieties of flavors as distinct as their bright and austere costumes portend. These golden fried doughs offer a double happiness, being equally beautiful and delicious. 😊😊😊

I hope you’ve missed me guys, I’m do apologise I’ve been a lil buys but I’m back and I’m ready with tangy but sweet mango and lime chicken.
I swear to god I usually don’t blow my own trumpet but this dish is so mouth watering, the burst of flavours is to die for!. 1. Please abeg wash your chicken, then marinate it in some garlic and ginger paste, salt pepper, cumin, a table spoon of yogurt and a table spoon of brown sugar, mango prices 2 lemons (for it’s sweetness) and 1 lime ( for its bitterness). Blend all together you see it makes a thick paste. You can also add chilli flakes if you like it spicy (which I do). The best way to marinate is use a ziplock bag marinate upto an hour or more.
2. Fry some onions and Add a bit of tomato paste(not too much as it can take away its bright yellow colour) . One onions are cooked add you chicken and it’s marinade to the pot. Then add half a cup of milk( this will keep the chicken from dying up). Give it a stir and let it simmer.
3. After 20 mins you will see the mixture has started to thicken up, take the chicken out and place onto a baking tray and using a brush (put the paste onto the chicken) slice some pardon peppers and limes on top and place onto a pre heated oven for approx 45/50 mins.
4. There should still be some marinade left in the pot put his into a glass dish, once the chicken is ready place this on top of the glass dish for moisture and voila.
5. Dish is best served with something plain - plain white rice or some chips/ bread. O personally prefer something plain with it as the flavours are honestly so exotic and vibrant that it would intact be too much to have something else full of flavour with it.

A little food experimenting going on at home today. Shrimp patty’s made with ground and chopped shrimp, chopped tofu, a little breadcrumb and egg white to help bind.

Shrimp Parmesan burger w/ fresh mozzarella and marinara and a Mexican shrimp burger with cheddar, sour cream, salsa, guac and nacho chips. All on toasted Martins potato buns.
