Besides being predisposed to burning calories quickly, the only thing I have been is skinny.

After the ex took my daughter and cut off communication with the entire family, I had to live through about a year of sleeping 2 to 3 hours a night. I would get so tired, I would fall asleep standing up, while eating. I would miss alarms, forget schedules, you name it.

This is a little series I like to incorporate into my training. I was feeling especially tight from the brutal workouts from last week. A few minutes focused on this and my body felt 💯times better. .

this morning I got back into the gym for a solid leg workout including 50 hip thrusts and 50 burpees. DEAD 💀🔥 also forgot to carry my tennis shoes so I did my workout in koala socks. It’s fine 😂🐨

I took four whole days off of the gym. I still got my 10,000 steps in and drank 3 liters of water each day but I allowed my muscles to rest and caught up on sleep. I haven’t slept in past 9 in so long 😅😴

So most days I wake up at 5:15am & get a 30-40 min sweat sesh in before work. ⠀

It’s about my confidence & seeing that girl in the mirror and knowing I showed up for her. Maybe not in every single thing today, but in the things I COULD control 💕

Training hammies are NO joke and are definitely mentally taxing (or at least for me they are). •

Started off strong with some Romanian Deadlifts (RDL’s) and they felt pretty good and solid at 65 lbs. next time, hoping to hit 80 lbs. •

Then hit some CALVES bc why not. I learned my lesson to never hit the 2 biggest leg muscles on the same day before 🙃 So workout after RDL’s ended up being:
✅ Standing Calf Raises on a 10 lb plate for more extension
✅ Seated leg curl for hamstrings (took @ishak_ishak’s protip from a while back and leaned FORWARD to feel the stretch more) and lol I was dead. BUT it was the best stretch I’ve gotten for them so 🔥🔥🔥
✅ Standing calf raises on the Smith Machine on a 25 lb plate
✅ B stance hamstring dumbbell deadlift (2nd video)
✅ Calf Extension on seated leg press ✅ Lying hamstring curl •

Not quite as good as my last time but still did 8 rounds of my 3,5,5 crossfit style workout (3 pullups, 5 dips, 5 pushups = 1 round) in under 10 min (18 sec left) then I did some eccentric exercise with my weighted vest (22.5lbs); 2 rounds and 5 reps per round with 1 min rest between of pullups and chinups. Then 3 rounds and 5 reps per round of dips and pushups also with a 1 minute rest between sets. Eccentric exercises, or aka negatives, seem to do really well because your muscles is worked so much more with less effort.

I know the angle is ultimate crap but oh well. I was able to work out back for a little under an hour and it felt great! Back is so important because it truly shapes your body (and shoulders & legs obv). I always find back the hardest due to muscle mind connection. Still something I am continuously working on. •

i was doing another closet purge just now and found my size twenty-two wedding dress buried in the back. i haven’t tried it on since my wedding 5 years ago and thought it might be great transformation tuesday material. the craziest part is that i had already lost 35 lbs and i was feeling super skinny on my wedding day. what a crazy journey! .
