Week 1 of my cut down and I’m down 5mm on my skinfolds, which I’m very happy with 💪🏻 Without goals I really tend to flounder so my main focus this week is going to be minimum of 10,000 steps per day and a minimum of 2.5 litres of water per day. I know from experience, these two things combined really help to improve my energy levels and productivity - basically they give me a lot of bang for buck.
If you’ve been a bit meh, I’d definitely recommend writing some goals down where you can see them every day as it really helps to keep you moving forward and making progress, no matter how small they might seem.

Getting in that early morning #workout 💪🏽
Besides the worm 🐛 here are some benefits to working out in the morning:
🔥 Hormones 🔥 in the early morning hours, crucial hormones (i.e., testosterone) that help build muscle mass are elevated in the body. By exercising in the morning, you're taking advantage of these naturally circulating hormones as they're peaking, rather than later in the day when they're lower. The release of feel good hormones like endorphins that and dopamine (runner’s high) that follow a workout will help you show up to the rest of the day with a smile and a higher vibration!
🔥 Focus 🔥 Exercise increases your focus on the next activity, because your body is aroused. What follows a morning workout? For most people, it's the office or school. Hence, one of the advantages of working out in the morning is that you're more alert during those later hours.
🔥 Increased Metabolism 🔥 Without a doubt, exercise can boost your metabolic rate. The degree depends on your current fitness level and the kind of activity you choose. All other things being equal, working out in the morning will help to boost your metabolism, allowing you to burn more calories for the rest of the day

Motivation Friday🔥 It took me a couple years to figure out exactly why I wanted to achieve the chiseled, muscular physique of my dreams.
Here's a lesson for you, before beginning your fitness journey you have to know why. Dig deep to figure what you want to change. .
Focus on how you'll feel, act, and carry yourself once you reach your goal. .
My job is fitness, and I always keep going due to the fire burning inside me. The reason I decided to get in shape was to see if I could challenge myself. .
I wanted to transform the way I looked, get stronger, move faster, and increase my confidence. .

Here is a fun warmup if you have 1/2 size foam rollers:
30 second clock:
Athletes may perform 1-3 reps of any movement before every flip attempt. First athlete to get the foam roller to land upright wins. All other athletes must do 3-5 reps of coaches/winners choice.
*Foam roller must be dropped or flip from anywhere above the waist. **If no one wins after 30 seconds all athletes perform 5 reps of coaches choice.

Everyday you have the potential to put yourself out there and elevate yourself. Everything new will feel alien to you. Yes, it will be hard, but I believe in progress, NOT perfection. Have fun with it, don’t get frustrated and quit. Be a student with an open mind, and no egos who is eager to learn. Don’t get consumed by the challenge, instead, be excited because you’re about to learn a new skill you can use in the future. Because there is no luck. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.

That's right, officially I am now down 75lbs from my highest and 49lbs from surgery day 3 months ago. The progress is slowing down some but the pounds are still coming off. Life is throwing curve balls in every direction and I'm hoping they slow down soon. I'm over halfway to my end goal, I'm hoping to make it by the start of next year. But I'm not putting a time on this because I know stalls are going to happen and I know I've already come so far. I will reach that end goal I have no doubt about it! This tool that Dr. Smith gave me is something I will forever be grateful for. There truly isn't enough words to say just how thankful I am that I have been given this opportunity. If anyone tries to think that this is an "easy" way out, then you truly need to do some research. This has been by far harder than any "diet" I've ever done. Each day has it's own struggles but each day gets better. If you've ever thought of doing this for yourself, start the process NOW it worth every single thing I've gone through. excuses don’t burn calories.
there are 100 reasons i could have given in order to skip today and sleep in.. that i have a headache from the obnoxious AF noise the heater made all night, that i only really slept about 4 solid hours, that it’s friday, that i can do it after work, that skipping ONE day won’t hurt, etc.
but i didn’t. i got my a$$ up at 4:30am. i CRUSHED my workout. & i feel 1,000 times better doing it💪🏼
so this is your PSA.. JUST DO IT. no. more. excuses.
Went to bed 22, woke up 23! 🎉
Just a quick reminder that:
