The Creech - Book 3
The creature's body appears to reject its alien DNA counterpart as the fluids secrete from its pores. While the creature is weak, the aliens abduct it and harvest the DNA. Dross prepares an ambush with a set of prototype Agency bio-mech suits and attempts to lure the aliens into the sewers using the last vial of DNA as bait. Rafferty springs a trap of his own and damages a sewage drain. The drain bursts, sweeping Dross into the filth and the vial is recovered by the aliens. Unfortunately the bio-mechs kill the aliens before they can escape. Meanwhile an armed mob of Voice of God fanatics arrives on the scene with intentions of killing Dross. The creature makes a recovery and destroys the mechs and nearly kills Dross, but stops its rampage to calm the orphaned baby. Dross is killed by the Voice of God mob, who then turn their weapons on the creature. With the aliens dead, the creature attempts to assimilate with the alien spaceship to prevent the nuke from destroying the city. Bernard Chen commandeers a basic mech suit and rescues Rafferty and the baby, but leaves the creature behind. In the aftermath, It seems as though the creature is able to contain the blast and save the city from destruction, but whether it survives remains uncertain.
Preview in my story! Thanks for looking! 🤘🤘
Storm has been one of my favorite mutants ever since I watched the 90s X-Men cartoon. I don't follow the modern writing for her, but that's probably b/c I'm old and not "woke" 😀
