And your Friends.
Furthermore you want to help them the best way you can. ⠀
But the reality you don’t treat yourself that way.
You need to start taking care of yourself like you’re responsible for yourself, because the truth is you can’t afford not to.
Remember you’re going to die, so live you’re best life!
The only actions/reactions we can ever be fully in control of are our own. I keep coming back to this perspective like a mantra when I feel anxiety and depression creeping in. There is so much horror, suffering, greed, inequality, toxicity, and instability in our world. News moves real fast, and it's easy to become overwhelmed, to wallow in it. Ultimately though, if I wish to do good for my community and beyond, I have to release these paralyzing feelings of helplessness and dread. It's a process. I've been thinking critically about my long term goals and how I plan to achieve them. My journey may change course one day, but with a direction in mind, it's a little easier to travel through life with presence and equanimity. So long as I honour the eight limbs of yoga, and take it one breath at a time, I can persevere.
Anyone who says this process is not just as (if not more) internal as it is external is full of crap!

Ironically enough, once we tap into our internal capabilities...the external potential usually follows suit. Keep going and always look to make internal ugrades!

I don’t know who to quote for this one, but I’ve heard it a billion times. A really good lesson I keep learning over and over in my life. Stop comparing your insides (emotions, state of being, etc.) to other people’s outsides (Facebook, instagram, perfect looking life, etc.) It’s just plain silly. No one is perfect. We are all fallible, but worthy human beings. #loveyourself
#throwback to about 15 min ago! Current look. 220 lbs this morning and getting leaner but weight has stayed consistent. Getting stronger and putting on quality size while mainting a decent leaness. Right now about 5 pounds heavier then i was when i started prep last year and leaner! So im making progress. Keeping that cardio in is really keeping the the motabolism cranking while i consume alot of food. Plus! I just feel better.
