Remermising on that trip to Oxley Wild River National Park in the beginning of this year. Still amazed by how dramatic the landscape was and how it was still evolving!
The waterfall wasn't at its full force due to the lack of rain, so you can still see the rocky gorge river bed as the rushing water flowed underneath to Chandler River. When its at full force, the river bed will be completely submerged. Something I would like to return to see.
Bitumen road access to Wollomombi National Park, with easy grade unsealed walking track starting at the carpark. The Chandler River walk is permanently closed due to heavy erosion, so there is no marked track that leads into the ravine and gets you up close to the waterfalls anymore. However, Wollomombi track follows the ridgeline and does get you closer for an distant overhead view of both of the magnificent waterfalls. @urnie.staggs kid friendly too!
⛺Camping also available in this part of the Oxley Wild River NP.
Lookouts on Chandler Walk are still accessible, once the track starts to descend into the valley, after 1-2km, you will see a metal handrail bar, and that's where the track ends and you will return via the same track.🚧
fun fact about the daintree rainforest: it is the oldest surviving rainforest in the world, thought to be 165 million years old, and some of its plants co-existed with dinosaurs 🦕 🦖 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
traveling make us fly, literally 😀
Can you see the little patch of Mount Solitary, gleaming, illuminated by the sun that managed to sneak through the clouds?
A little bit of weather on this morning just made everything more beautiful ✨
There is always light to find.
I find it in the places that spellbind me, the people who see + love me. You give me sense, meaning, fire. You help me see through the cloud, despite the cloud
There is also always light to give. I think...I have a light behind my eyes that sparks something in others. It’s probably the thing about myself that I’m most proud of
The two are inextricably linked. What goes around, comes around. Being impacted, creating impact. Fuelling my flame, spreading my fire, fuelling your flame, spreading your fire. Our light shining together 💖
Final nights of #vividsydney
Watched the vivid fireworks, long exposure shots and saw my artwork SYNERGY for the very last time.
It's emotional when I saw this festival for the 5th year in a row and first time being an artist of a light installation.
The festival has over, but the memories will be kept forever with me. #farewell
P.S. I was tired after removing the artwork offsite today.
