Also I am truly honoured that The Cornish Life has been referenced at the end for further reading! .
Because of my mention, Summersdale publishers have kindly sent an extra copy for me to giveaway 🌞
If you would like to win, simply be sure to follow me on Instagram, like this photo and comment below tagging a friend who you’d take exploring around Cornwall with you! .
I will be choosing a winner at random next Sunday (26th) 🌼 UK entries only; must be 18 or over. @summersdalepublishers
A rather grey day led us for a walk in Crenver Grove 🌱Woods🌳where there were, reassuringly, no real signs of autumn🍂. Lots of ferns 🌿and dappled sunlight ☀️through the leaves🍃 and many mushrooms and toadstools 🍄 By the time we were out we were treated to bright blue skies and these lovely pink 🌸 hydrangeas 🌞
It was lovely and peaceful at The Parade memorial garden in Lostwithiel this morning, all you could hear were the church bells (switch on the volume for a listen). It was fairly breezy but not at all chilly, a lovely day for a wander around Lostwithiel. Come along on Thursday evening, 23rd and 30th August, for Sing Along The River when this space will be looking and sounding very different. The feedback has been incredible for this fabulous free event so we hope to see you soon 🎶
Strangely i'm heading into a really busy time of year, looking forward to some more recipe experimenting when it all calms down. What's your all time favourite cake or pud,? I love anything with pistachios, lemon and spices like cardamom, ginger and vanilla 😋
Well it’s safe to say that the last few days have been an absolute PR shit storm! If you keep up to date with regional (and national 🤦🏼♀️) news you would have seen that there has been a lot of coverage and debate over the growing numbers of tourism in Cornwall. It’s catch 22, and as a tourist board we welcome tourists with open arms, however the story that has been in the media has been taken out of context multiple times (selective reporting at its finest - thanks very much 👍🏼). The active promotion of TWO beaches have been stopped by VC due to problems caused by overcrowding. Issues such as community safety, tourist experience, road congestion and local life have all been affected by unprecedented mass tourism. Cornwall is absolutely NOT shut for business - the Cornish economy thrives from tourism and we love that everyone wants to visit our incredible corner of the UK. We have 400+ beaches in Cornwall and we want to promote these beaches equally to increase their popularity. We are not saying to stay away from the two beaches mentioned forever; we are saying that Cornwall has so many other incredible beaches to explore. The power of social media is extremely strong and images on the internet spread like wild fire. We love Cornwall and we want everyone else to as well - hopefully the record has now been set straight 💘🌍☀️ Now pass me a glass of wine or 10. 🥂🤯⛏ #travelPR#cornwall @lovecornwalluk
