Growing your plants outdoors has many benefits, but there are plenty of pitfalls as well. My Philodendron verrucosum x melanochrysum is a perfect example of some issues that can arise outdoors in a non-controlled/non-greenhouse environment. It fell over numerous times during heavy storms throughout the summer, breaking off a brand new leaf and causing some surface damage on the leaves. It also contracted spider mites, causing further leaf damage and slow growth (they’re now under control 🤞). Additionally, check out the top leaf where a mystery insect decided to feast and nibble off a large portion. Gardening - indoors or out, containers or no - is constant trial and error. Next summer I’m going to keep this rare specimen indoors on a freaking pedestal! 😂
When the cats away the mouse will play.... with her planties, hubs is away on a weekend boys trip & I'm all up over here grateful for some ME time 💕😂 Memo to self: The lotus is the flower that grows in the mud...the deeper & thicker the mud, the more beautiful the lotus blooms 🕉
This little lady is finally putting out a fresh leaf! I love the progression from the orange new leaves to the older green ones, with the beautiful mottling all the way through. Thanks to @pistilsnursery for this beauty.

Today marks the start of spring in the Southern Hemisphere, and to mark the occasion, Blu dropped a pup today! It looks like there might be 2 little rosettes there, maybe even three! She’s also starting to grow some gorgeous flowers, which would be a first for me since I’ve only had her since winter. Fingers crossed this propagation is a success 🤞🏼🤞🏼 What should we name Blu’s pup (or pups)? leave suggestions in the comments ❤️ #plantmom#succulents#cacti#proudmomma#propagation#succulentpups#idrinkandigrowthings#spring#flowerbuds
NEWS about my club @plantage.farm 🐞! Our crew is driving to the field at Frankfurt (Oder) tomorrow and will take some shots from the landscape😍 I can´t wait to see the area were we can plant vegan veggies and fruit🌿. So make sure you watch the Insta-Story tomorrow 🌾
I think this little arrow head leaf shaped plant is a Syngonium. I bought it in the itty bitty fairy garden section at the nursery. Maybe it was there by mistake. ...but I like it. It’s a nice little houseplant that loves low-medium indirect light. It can handle slight neglect, but apparently the leaves and vines can get pretty big and out of control so pruning becomes essential. I’m excited to watch this one grow. And if I’m wrong and it’s not a Syngonium...please correct me!😊I gave my toddler nephew naming privileges on this one. He named it ooooof. Pronounced like ew-fff.😆❤️ .
