I decided to make myself some healthy snacks for the trip so I’m not tempted by the 10$ bag of almonds at the airport🙄 so I made these THREE ingredient banana chocolate cookies! (Shoutout to @courtp.lifts.n.eats for the recipe)

INGREDIENTS:
✨1/2 banana
✨1/2 c oats
✨chocolate chips
That’s all folks! I added some cinnamon for a lil extra flavor. Cooked them in the oven at 350 for about 18 minutes and they’re SO good! SAVE🏴 and try these out the next time you want something quick, easy, healthy and super tasty!

I’m not worrying too much about what I’m eating, although I’m still trying to eat as clean and healthy as I can, if I indulge a little I’m not letting myself getting hung up on it.

Yes fitness is a big part of my life, but it does not CONTROL my life. But it used to. I used to let over-exercising and training take precedent over everything. My friends, my schoolwork, even sleep. That is no way to live.

For as long as I can remember, I REFUSED to try a spin class. I was scared, nervous and since I have grandma hips I thought it would be painful. This past weekend my sister forced me to take a spin class with her and.... I ABSOLUTELY loved it. It was so fun, challenging and I had to push myself mentally and physically and not to mention the playlist the instructor had was bumpin.

I got out of my comfort zone and found something new that I enjoy that I never would have considered trying before. The phrase “dont knock it till you try it” is a real thing folks. I challenge you to get out of your comfort zone and try something new! You never know what you might learn about yourself.

I used to. I was the grudge holding QUEEN👑 I actually thought I was tough for never putting myself out there and letting my past stay in my present- I thought it made me emotionally strong. But what I didn’t realize was that holding onto past grievances was extremely toxic to my own mental health

I had a hard time trusting people and even holding onto new friends because I always questioned everyone around me to the point that I convinced myself I was better off alone. But let me share a quote that is extremely cliché but also very true. “Holding a grudge is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.” —�—
Holding onto the past does more harm than good. It hinders you emotionally, spiritually, romantically, and mentally. I got to the point where I was so tired of feeling so angry all the time, I started taking care of myself and slowly letting go of the past and I have never felt more free

If you struggle with holding on the same way that I did, explore it. Figure out why you can’t let it go, take some time to understand yourself better and slowly but surely the past will loosen its grip on you. It takes time but man is it worth it. Take a deep breath, and move forward.

Fell off the exercising bandwagon for a bit. Feeling sluggish and Blah so I started a new workout. 1st day down of IdealRaw 15 day Fit Mommy Challenge. I felt winded and like I wasn't going to finish all the sets, but I stuck it out and sweated up a storm! Love the exercises (you can do them along with the trainer in the videos which is awesome) and food is tasty! And that there are modifications for pregnant/nursing moms. Now just need to keep it up around work and the baby. That's the hardest part. #sweaty #sweatyselfie #idealraw #fitmommychallenge #fitmom

Eat real food. Today’s dinner will be roasted veggies mmmm (BEETS!! My fav!) and chicken. Maybe cheesy garlic bread too 🙊 😉 #carbaddict Ruby May or may not have had a meltdown while I was trying to finish chopping my beets...red handed. Looked like a murder scene. But I swear she was fine. 😆 .

Since life gets crazy 😜 with a babe in the house there’s not always time to eat the whole foods I need. Supplement protein when necessary. 💪🏻I’ll be honest... I haven’t been eating enough calories until these last few weeks. And you know what happened when I finally added calories back in??? I STARTED LOSING WEIGHT. I’m now only *4* pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight! 😊 💃  I hit a major plateau from months 1-3 postpartum. Being 10-12 lbs heavier. I dropped calories too low and not only was I not losing weight my breastmilk supply suffered...we’ve had to start supplementing babe 1-3 times a day. So, I’ve upped my daily protein/calories and milk seems to be coming in a bit better (I struggled with supply/stress issues with my first...it’s a very emotional subject for me...) and I also started losing 1-1.5 lbs a week instead of .5 lbs every other week. It you’re struggling with weight loss maybe take a look at your food intake with @myfitnesspal  That’s how I really discovered my sweet spot and just how LITTLE protein I was really taking in!!! Since protein hurts my tummy I’ve opted for @idealraw totally plant 🌱 protein. Results after one month of adding this extra protein: ~1-1.5 lbs weekly, milk seems to be picking back up (still struggling in the late afternoons 😭 I’ll just be 100% authentic with y’all...), and I feel stronger overall. Is my diet perfect? SHOOT NO! I’ve had pizza at least once weekly as well. 🤣 But, like I said, I needed to majorly ⬆️⬆️ the calories ESPECIALLY since I’m a #motherrunner 🏃🏼‍♀️ 👶🏻 .

Eat real food. Today’s dinner will be roasted veggies mmmm (BEETS!! My fav!) and chicken. Maybe cheesy garlic bread too 🙊 😉 #carbaddict  Ruby May or may not have had a meltdown while I was trying to finish chopping my beets...red handed. Looked like a murder scene. But I swear she was fine. 😆 . . . Since life gets crazy 😜 with a babe in the house there’s not always time to eat the whole foods I need. Supplement protein when necessary. 💪🏻I’ll be honest... I haven’t been eating enough calories until these last few weeks. And you know what happened when I finally added calories back in??? I STARTED LOSING WEIGHT. I’m now only *4* pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight! 😊 💃 I hit a major plateau from months 1-3 postpartum. Being 10-12 lbs heavier. I dropped calories too low and not only was I not losing weight my breastmilk supply suffered...we’ve had to start supplementing babe 1-3 times a day. So, I’ve upped my daily protein/calories and milk seems to be coming in a bit better (I struggled with supply/stress issues with my first...it’s a very emotional subject for me...) and I also started losing 1-1.5 lbs a week instead of .5 lbs every other week. It you’re struggling with weight loss maybe take a look at your food intake with @myfitnesspal That’s how I really discovered my sweet spot and just how LITTLE protein I was really taking in!!! Since protein hurts my tummy I’ve opted for @idealraw totally plant 🌱 protein. Results after one month of adding this extra protein: ~1-1.5 lbs weekly, milk seems to be picking back up (still struggling in the late afternoons 😭 I’ll just be 100% authentic with y’all...), and I feel stronger overall. Is my diet perfect? SHOOT NO! I’ve had pizza at least once weekly as well. 🤣 But, like I said, I needed to majorly ⬆️⬆️ the calories ESPECIALLY since I’m a #motherrunner  🏃🏼‍♀️ 👶🏻 . . . I had a conversation with someone today about perfection. I was venting about how I beat myself up over my grades even when I do well- and I used to not be like this. I used to never give a shit about my grades and I would do poorly on my own accord. Once I finally started trying, and getting good grades, good was never good enough. I would beat myself up over getting a B- in a class instead of a B and an 87 instead of a 90. My friend gave me some advice that I wanted to share because I know everyone deals with some level of wanting to be perfect in their lives. But we’re not, and it’s okay. —
She said- “no matter how hard we try, perfection is unattainable. It just isn’t. We as human beings are built to be flawed, to make mistakes, to fail an exam here or there. Your grades do not define you. Your mistakes do not define you. What’s in your heart, your actions, how you treat others defines you. If everyone was perfect, life would be so f-ing boring. If we never fumbled or made mistakes, we would have nothing to laugh about. There was only one person in existence who was perfect.. and we crucified him. Stop taking shit so seriously and be okay with letting go of the unattainable.” —�

This helps me to stay clear of cravings or giving into treat foods and helps me focus on my goals. I do have trigger foods that I am keeping out of the house during prep. Overall I feel great and I am excited to see how far I can push myself. I meet with my coach every other week and I will keep you updated as I go along this prep!

Grilled Veggie Skewers 🍴

1 medium zucchini, sliced
1 tomato, cubed
½ red onion, sliced
½ green bell pepper, sliced
½ cup italian dressing

1. Cut all vegetables and add to a resealable plastic baggie with italian dressing. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes. Add skewers to water and soak for 30 minutes.
2. Add marinated veggies to 5 skewers and grill. Enjoy! 🤗

Summer vacation is almost here! Now we want all of the summer treats. Here's a recipe for something cool, sweet, AND healthy! 👇🏼

Coconut Raspberry Chia Popsicles 🌴
.
1 can coconut milk (full fat)
3 tbsp. IdealRaw Organic Chia Seeds
1 ½ tbsp. agave
1 tsp. coconut extract
½ cup fresh raspberries
.
In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, chia seeds, agave, and coconut extract.
Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
Stir the mixture after about 15 minutes.
The mixture will slightly set so the popsicle sticks will hold in place.
Pour small amounts of the mixture into each popsicle mold, alternating with raspberries.
Each mold should hold about 5 raspberries when alternating with the mixture.
Once each mold is filled, stick a popsicle stick into the bottom of each mold.
Freeze for about 2 hours. 
Let frozen popsicles slightly thaw before removing from the mold.
Warm water will help remove the popsicles if you need extra help! Enjoy! 😋
