We hiked over an hour each way along the river that ultimately led to Bruarfoss. This spot was the second of three falls, hence the name “Midfoss” and was the flattest of them all - but still gorgeous in its own way. Link in bio to read all about our Bruarfoss adventure 🥾
Road trip break in the middle of nowhere, around 2am.
Always remember that each day is a gift. No matter what you’re going through, no matter what funk you’re in...it’s all a part of your story. Embrace it. Things are only what you make them.❤️
After spending hours researching hot springs in the area, I read that there was one a couple hours away. Seems easy right? Nope. If you've been to Iceland you know how quickly the weather changes, and with altitude. As my wife and I drove farther north to the hot springs (and by the way, we had no idea if it was a legit location or even open), the weather got snowier and the roads got worse. With little to no hope we drove up to the spot with the hot springs. ALAS, we dipped out fingers in and both said "ahhhh it's warm!" It was quite the experience and one Abby and I will certainly never forget.
