When we first landed in Iceland we were welcomed by cold rain, 50 mph winds and overcast skies. After a short nap at the hotel we woke up to gorgeous cotton candy clouds and witnessed our first Icelandic sunset. Iceland...you are beautiful, wild and breathtaking!

Despite hearing some mixed reviews about the Blue Lagoon, I have to say I personally loved it and found it to be the perfect way to end my trip in Iceland (hint: definitely book your visit when you first arrive or at the tail end of your trip, as it's only 20 minutes from the international airport).

A roundish crater about 140m deep and 1.300m in diameters. Said to be one of the largest such craters in the world.
It’s like a 15 min. “hike” you need to get up, but once there, the view is something else. .
