⚫️Shield your mind with ice⚫️
A female must never “know you” 100 percent. She must never feel like she’s “figured you out”. This is repulsive to the weaker sex. Your mind must be a mystery to her, a puzzle she desperately seeks to solve (but never will). This is the true dynamic between the alpha male and the submissive female. She is happiest in this state mind.
If a female ever thinks she’s figured you out, that she can predict your next move...you’re done. She will despise you with the wrath of hell.
The temptation to manipulate you would be too great. Disrespect and aggressive attitude would soon follow. This is the worst position a man can be in with the opposite sex. Never allow this.
From laid up in a hospital to Lay-ups in Madison Square, October 2000 - Miami, FL:
Coming from New Orleans, I wanted to play Division 1 basketball for a major university. The University of Miami went to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament that same year. I received a few D2 and D3 scholarships but that wasn’t my goal. Because of my home situation I didn’t want to stay in New Orleans and wanted to get FAR away. I applied to University of Tennessee, Michigan, Duke, Georgia Tech and the University of Miami randomly sent me an application so I applied there as well.
The University of Miami gave me a partial academic scholarship, so I packed up my room literally in New Orleans and was ready to go. My father applied for every school in Louisiana as he wanted to to stay close to home. For some reason I knew that whatever I was going to do with my life would be bigger than New Orleans. Arriving in Miami at 9pm by myself, I tried to get housing but the office was closed. Next day I was roomed with another Brandon who wanted to play basketball so that was cool. I had never been to Miami. My favorite movie at the time was Bad Boys and it was filmed in Miami so that’s all I knew of Miami. I would go to the gym everyday and workout in the weight room and on the court at the Wellness Center, now known as the B. Dot Wellness Center.
That summer I went to Bob Evans restaurant in Michigan and got food poisoning so knew what that felt like. So in October before tryouts, I had the same feeling. The day before tryouts I was complaining about it more than normal and all my friends said I should go to the hospital on campus. I finally to see the doctor after class and she says you need to go to the emergency room. I told her I’ll go tomorrow after tryouts. She said no, GO NOW!
I walk to Health South and soon as I go in and give them my name, they have me drink a bunch of vanilla shakes and say “Sir, let your parents know that you are going to have your appendix removed before it bursts.” I two messaged my family (I had the silver Motorola two-way pager before Diddy, lol) and prepped for surgery. I woke up with my father next to me. **REST OF THE POST IN COMMENTS!**
Juliet Ibrahim schools ladies on love after failed relationship
Elegant Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim, has cautioned women to understudy men who approach them before they fall in love.
The actress after rumours of unsuccessful relationship months back with her Nigerian boyfriend, Iceberg slim, appears to have adopted a laid-back approach on accepting a man into her life as she has become skeptical about love issues.
Though neither her nor Iceberg have come out to deny or confirm the rumours surrounding their split, the actress since then has grown wild on men.
The actress’ post on her Instagram read, “I just learnt that when falling in love, you don’t give out your heart just like that; you hand out the photocopy first and wait; I knew that already.”
A little niche for me but I’m obsessed with this scene from the #IcebergSlim documentary ‘Iceberg Slim: Portrait of a Pimp’ where the #pimp becomes the pimped by his once sweet and innocent wife - after years of her transcribing ‘the game’ as he told it. The student became the master.
The other day I was watching an #icebergslim documentary and he said that he wasted his life. He was smart, capable, and at one point had the means to really make something of himself... he was a successful pimp, who later became a great author... but as he aged he said that he wasted a great portion of his life in jail... one of my biggest fears is getting old and having regrets on missed experiences... I have started several business and they all were successful as they served their purpose in helping me find my niche, and passion... I will never stand in my own way of reaching my full potential. #live#love#experience#life#getaplan#followitthrough#successcoach#nogoaltoobig#nogoaltoosmall#letswork#ascend
#Ghanian actress #Julietibrahim shared her lesson about falling in love-"Hand out your heart photocopy not the original". Do you agree with her? She has kept mom about her relationship with #Nigeria 's pretty face singer #Icebergslim as they both stop sharing each other's picture for over a month. 😩
Magic Ice Colors series: the colors of the icebergs in the Scoresby Sound fjord, East Greenland are so magic, unfortunately slowly but surely, Greenland is losing it's ice / Global warming is prime suspect in meltdown ...
Pimp, confidence man, and silver tongued smooth talker..Iceberg slim was all of these. The legendary pimp earned his nickname due his icy temperament when dealing with his “female workers” and his lasting reputation for staying calm (cool) in heated situations. Highly intelligent and devilishly articulate, he could talk you out of your own home if you let him. His incredible insight into the human condition was lethally coupled by his uncanny ability to conceal his emotions.
He achieved a college education in the 1930’s, which at that time was extremely difficult for the average person much less for a black man. After his retirement as a pimp (1960s) he wrote several books detailing the life and exploits of pimps and confidence men..though always vowing to never glamorize his former life nor snitch on any man he had once knew, changing all their names and descriptions.
- Pimp: The Story of my life (listen to the audio book)
- Trick Baby: The Biography of a Con Man
- Mamma Black Widow- A story of the south’s black underworld - Long White Con
- Death Wish: A Story of the Mafia - Doom Fox

📢📢📢This is NOT a book club. I repeat: THIS IS NOT A BOOK CLUB*. This is simply a challenge to encourage our black brothers & sisters to read at least one book a month. Considering the amount of social media challenges out there, why not participate in one that feeds our brains. The rules of the challenge are simple:
• book has to be at least 100 pages
• Preferably a book by a #BlackAuthor
That’s it. At the top of the month, I’ll share the book I’m reading for the month.
Please feel free to share what you are reading, & what it’s about in the comments.
This month’s #ABookAMonthChallenge book is “#MondaysNotComing by #TiffanyDJackson @writeinbk (Swipe 👈🏾). If a black girl goes missing, does anyone notice or care? “From the critically acclaimed author of #Allegedly , Tiffany D. Jackson, comes a gripping new novel about the mystery of one teenage girl’s disappearance and the traumatic effects of the truth.
#MondayCharles is missing, and only Claudia seems to notice. Claudia & Monday have always been inseparable—more sisters than friends. So when Monday doesn’t turn up for the first day of school, Claudia’s worried.
When she doesn’t show for the second day, or second week, Claudia knows that something is wrong... As Claudia digs deeper into her friend’s disappearance, she discovers that no one seems to remember the last time they saw Monday.. How can a teenage girl just vanish without anyone noticing that she’s gone?” •
Don’t forget: Patronize #BlackBookstores . Visit your local library. Participate or create #BookExchanges with your friends so that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on new books. Just read. Reading is all that matter. Any genre. Fiction or non-fiction. Romance or sci-fi. #IceBergSlim or #SiataSouljah . You name it. And if you are already reading a minimum of a book a month...👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 To quote @realdlhughley, “y’all go on and keep the party going”. #MalcolmX once said “People don't realize how a man's whole life can be changed by one book”. I look forward to sharing with you as I hope you share with me. ✊🏾 #BlackReadersMatter#BlackBooks#BlacksRead#BlackExcellence#BlackKnowledge#BlackBrilliance#BlackLikeVanilla
Between comedian, #Bovi and #IcebergSlim
A while ago , comedian Bovi via his Instagram handle asked his IG followers to ask him any question.
However, he warned that 'stupid questions will attract stupid answers'
Alas, the above convo ensued 😃😃😃😃😃
