Attempting to make my own linseed, sunflower seed and almond(LSA) mix without the almonds! Hopefully putting in chia and pumpkin seeds will make up for the loss. So much cheaper to make at home, which is great ‘cause we used it a lot #glutenfree recipes.
Grain-free Mexican-flavor bowls for dinner! I threw in extra firm tofu, organic salt-free canned corn, + green bell pepper into a skillet and stir-fried with cumin + paprika. I topped it with 1/4 avocado + tomatoes ☺️

Instead I channel my positive vibes on helping other woman reach their health and fitness goals along with their financial goals all while working on my own health and fitness goals! Fitness has been my saving grace- being a health and wellness coach has enriched my life in so many ways that I never thought possible! 💕 Remember- it’s never too late to be happy, to make changes, to chose positivity!!!! All you need to do is Make the choice!
Tonight’s dinner was absolutely delicious! I had raw carrots, sautéed spinach with riced beets and goat cheese and a little bit of chicken. My doctor keeps insisting that one of these days I will be able to tolerate chicken, and although today was not that day, it tasted good which is half the battle! Simple, colorful and satisfying!
Working out has always been a part of my daily or weekly routine if I’m busy but recently, simply going for a walk is a challenge..
After a week in Mexico having the travelers flu, to getting food poisoning over the week, all on top of having IBS symptoms, my body’s not up for much physical these days. Today a walk was the perfect way to spend the morning with my boy but I had to stop every 5 mins with severe cramping. #onedayatatime#ibs#dispiosis
At least dinner was a win...I ate the most Brussels sprouts I’ve had in a long time without symptoms (i.e. SIBO bloat). Butternut squash and Brussels sprouts are the ultimate fall food to me (all the pumpkin things!) If you didn’t see my story...
I roasted a butternut squash (sliced) with some olive oil at 400F for 30 min. The puréed it with more olive oil and water.
The Brussels sprouts were also roasted at 400F for about 10 min each side (I like them crispy) with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
The scallops were cooked with olive oil, salt, and pepper for 4 min each side on a cast iron skillet.
Once plated, I drizzled maple syrup over the scallops and butternut squash purée...it might sound strange, but we had it once at a restaurant and have been hooked since!
It was delicious and felt very gourmet with little effort.

Honestly, I feel a little insecure sharing everything I eat. 🙃 I know I’m not perfect and I’m worried that I eat too much or too often or not the right foods and I’ll be judged. But ya know what? I can’t be perfect and no-one (except myself) is asking me to be. And people judge anyway so I’m just gonna do what I want. 🤷♀️ I got my MRT food sensitivity test results and I have so many thoughts whirling around my head. I’ll definitely post something more coherent soon!
Breakfast: smoothie with siggi’s yogurt, avocado, papaya, cherries, supergreens, collagen, matcha, and banana muffin (8:45am, 2nd pic)
Lunch: 3 eggs, cucumbers with garlic olive oil, carrots cooked in coconut oil and pumpkin spice, apple, raw sprouted almond butter, and banana muffin (12:45pm, 1st pic)
Dinner: acorn squash, bacon, apples, supergreens, beef, and some tapioca starch (4:30pm, 5th pic) .

My gut hasn't been happy for a few weeks.. and I'm frustrated because.. I'm one of the healthy people, right?
I know what's healthy and I try to stick to good choices most of the time. For some reason, that's just not good enough at the moment. 😓
As well as lots of rest and trying to reign in that cortisol (wish me luck! 😅), I'm trying a gut friendly diet.
I've never cut these things out completely so it will be an interesting test, both of my self control and my body's response.. lucky I have plenty of healthy snacks on hand 😜

Learning to love my reflection.
I’ve always struggled with my appearance, there’s always been something for me to nitpick at.
The great thing about the programs is that it’s not just challenging me physically but it’s changing me mentally. Today I looked in this mirror and embraced the bloat, the double chin, the dark circles, etc.
Love your body. Be kind to yourself. Be proud of what your body does for you every day. Don’t nitpick.
The scale just gives you a number, it doesn’t define you. All you can do is work towards being a healthier version of yourself.
When you go to the grocery store only because you’re craving popcorn and come home with two different kinds because you can’t decide 🤣🤷🏻♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is the book that changed it all around for me. Diarrhea daily. Not gettin’ in the car after lunch, friends. No waaaay. 😩
But this, this approach was nothing that any MD, or GI Specialist had to offer me for my IBS diagnosis. Instead they offered me two medications. One for pain and one for diarrhea, but the GI followed up that offering with the statement, “don’t take the pill for diarrhea everyday or you will shut down your entire digestive system.” As much as I wanted answers for the future, I wanted answers for the cause.
I got them, not from my gastroenterologist, but from my functional health doctor, which wasn’t easy to find in my area I might add, #iowa .
She tested me, and identified a likely cause, sibo. Likely from the PPI’s I’d been taking for yeeeeeears for acid reflux. That paired with a traditional American diet, alcohol, fast food, trauma, and daily stress was too much for my poor lil digestive system.
So here you go, it’s a start for those of you who are suffering. It’s an extreme diet that doesn’t bode well for people on the go. That being said, if you are desperate for a solution. Get it. It has reversed many types of illnesses without medication for many people with many conditions that the docs can’t help you with naturally.
99% of me was certain that I wasn’t cut out for this.
I didn’t know how to run a business.
I wasn’t on social media a ton.
I was wayyyyy too busy, working three jobs already.
It just “wasn’t for me.”
The few friends I had talked to about coaching agreed that they didn’t really think it was “for me” either.
So, I believed those voices and I quit before I EVEN tried. But I continued doing these programs.
And a few weeks later I realized I wasn’t running to the bathroom as often & that this was beginning to heal my #ibs gut.
I had more energy.
I felt stronger & less bloated.
& I was feeling more confident.
So... when my sister cried in my bedroom one day and asked me yet AGAIN if I would just consider giving this “coaching thing” a real try since she KNEW it could be something amazing for me....
That 1% belief in myself kicked in. And I chose to listen to THAT.
Even if 99% of you (and everyone around you) believes you “can’t” do something. Listen to that gut feeling. Find that 1% belief in yourself & your ability to figure it out along the way & just freakin’ go for it, girl. 👊🏼✨
One of my downfalls...time management! Oh man I’m awful! 🤣 but it’s getting better!
First off I am never late. Actually usually early which is part of my problem! I overthink how much time something will take or that I’ll need. I think it got even worse once I became a mom. Lol duh, right!
Being that I hate being late I always over planned and added time where I didn’t need to which means I’d put certain things to the side and sometimes not even do them. Mostly me time! I still struggle with time management when it comes to my business 🤷🏻♀️ but I did figure out a way for me time!
Because it should be a non negotiable, I started doing at home workouts. I don’t have to stress about the time I would be driving to and from the gym or extra bag I would have to pack so I could shower or the time limit at child watch for my little. All my me time is done at home and I love it, not to mention it saves me money too!
So although I’m not perfect, I’m still and always will be a work in progress...I will not let time come in the way of me time anymore!! How about you? Struggle with time management in general?!
I can’t count the number of times I said I would start next Monday, after that next trip, or after the holidays. The best decision I ever made was to just start. Life is going to happen, but small changes can have the greatest impact. Even if starting means only having more water than pop, adding a vegetable or two into your diet each day or going all in with a full workout schedule and meal plan, done is better than perfect. How did I maintain my results while traveling ?
I just stuck to my routine as best as I could 🤗
Did I have pizza, popcorn and vodka?
I sure did! .
Did I also walk over 20,000 steps Saturday, included veggies where I could, drank my smoothie and worked out all 3 days ?
I sure did! .
I enjoyed my trip, I enjoyed that food but I also created balance where I could.
I don’t restrict myself from the things that I enjoy.
I have fun, I do what I can with what I have and when I’m able to, I get right back into my routine 💪🏻 .
I’m not perfect, I don’t try to be but what I am is consistent
