I owe this recipe to my mom @mira5gandhi. I haven’t made this since I was diagnosed as I’ve been terribly frightened of veggies but slowly I’ve been gaining the courage to go beyond squash and eggplant. A few nights ago I made a batch of super well done potato/green bean/zucchini and gave it a go. All went well, and I had tons of leftovers so I made my favorite brunch dish. I hear a lot that... 💸💸💸 Healthy food is expensive. I can’t afford to get better. IBS solutions are out of my budget.
What you believe is what will come to be.
Instead, try saying, “Healing holistically isn’t my priority. I’m unwilling to use my resourcefulness to find the money for the solution I need to live as my highest self.” Because for some people with IBS... it ISN’T their priority. It goes back to that concept... “Your Hell has to burn hot enough.” Sometimes people aren’t sick ENOUGH for them to do what it takes to put their resourcefulness hat on, trust their gut, and get into inspired action!
And if you’re there, that’s ok as long as it’s ok by you! But we can’t deny the the TRUTH that... healthy food brings you the riches of energy (which in turn helps you make more money by adding more value to people’s lives). IBS Solutions ARE in your spending plan because YOU create your spending plan.

It’s not as bad as I thought and certainly more forgiving than the Candida diet - there are all kinds of AIP compliant treats, which, I’m not sure I can ever give up if I’m being 100% honest. I’m really excited to start feeling better again - this diet is clinically studied in people with IBD to show a 75% or higher success rate. 🙌🏼
This is me this morning. I’ve been doing a Mindset of Eating program cause emotional eating is REAL, yo. And the trainer is like, “Step on a scale every morning to know how yesterday worked for you. It’s just a measurement, not a judge.” And it’s going fine. I judge myself less and less for that number on the scale.
But hold up for a second.
Cause I started working on this LONG before I brought that scale back out. I started doing this thing where every morning, after the shower, I placed focus on things I LIKE about my body… and eventually found things I LOVE about my body. All the #bodyposi peeps are on the rise, and for good reason. They did the thing day in and day out. But this is an inside job. It starts with the repetition of the belief : I’m a fucking goddess.
Even when the number goes up. Even when I’m bloated. Even when I’m reaching for peppermint cause I’m nauseous. Even when I feel most IBS-y. Cause it’s not conditional.
What’s one thing you love about yourself? Say it loud. Say it proud! 👇🏻
Sister. If you’ve got all of it... the IBS + the depression + the anxiety… you’re NOT alone. In fact it’s normal for folks with IBS. There is a reason. It’s called the Mind-Gut Connection. You actually have neurons in your gut. 😳😄 As well as a micro biome that is being considered the “forgotten organ.” 🤨🧐 So when one isn’t doing well… the other one isn’t doing well. You gotta treat both of them, love.
You’re a whole human. You deserve to treat yourself as such.

You trust and believe you’re worth it... even through the moments when you DON’T trust and believe. There’s something inside you that says, even if I’m not 💯 ready in my MIND, my gut and my heart know that I am. Your guts still there. It never left. It’s always had your back, you just might not realize HOW or WHY yet.

This is driving me bonkers. I’m seeing an influx of “magic pills” for the IBS world. BONKERS. I even met a pharmaceutical rep whose #1 drug was an “IBS drug.” OMGAHHHDDD. NO. Most GI doctors prescribe meds to help with symptoms. And look, I know that meds help many people. Especially those who are fine with staying on medication for their life. So like for real no judgment here! Your body your choice! But to say that a med fixes the prob just ain’t ok. That’s not getting to the ROOT. That’s just masking whatever your bod needs you to hear. Soooo. It ain’t magical. Also, I personally found them ineffective or unbearable due to side effects. That’s why the natural holistic way is my jam. It’s about HEALING. But IBS pills are not stopping anytime soon. There are more and more drugs coming out Big Pharma sees the 15% of the population with IBS... 🤑🤑 I can find gratitude for this because more RESEARCH is being done about IBS, but I also find that people turn to natural remedies as a last resort after all the meds. I did too. WE’VE BEEN CONDITIONED TO BE THIS WAY. Bottom Line. Do what’s right for you. Your heart knows the answer. But don’t feel like you have to try all the meds first before you’re allowed to decide that getting to the ROOT of the problem in a holistic way is your goal. This was never the plan - being an IBS coach.
It’s just something that happened FOR me. Being sick for 7 years. Then finally figuring my shit out and regulating.
After that came a good 2.5 years where I didn’t event think about it. I didn’t enter restaurants wondering about the bathroom. I didn’t hesitate to book flights in the window seat. I didn’t worry about being bloated on a first date.
But then ✨GRACE✨ as a new friend shared she had IBS. So I put some things together to help her. And then some more friends said they had IBS. And the next thing you know, the IDENTITY that got me through 7 years of nausea 🤙🏻IBS WARRIOR🤟🏻 became a brand, a hashtag, and a coaching business.
Because there is this MASSIVE GAPING CRATER OF A GAP in the treatment of IBS.
Low FODMAP is critical. Stress Relief is key. But REFRAMING AND REWIRING YOUR BRAIN is everything. That’s what I learned to regulate my second brain (gut) and that’s what I TEACH to help you do the same.

Ever asked the question... BUT I THOUGHT THIS WAS A SAFE FOOD?! Yeah me too. I was nauseous on-and-off for 7 years. I’d try something, and see how I did. Over and over and over again. Because that’s all there was in 2008. There was no Low FODMAP diet. So by cutting things out using the slow method I found some of my triggers. I cut gluten and dairy, I then was operating at about 60%. I was only sick a few days a week. (What a way to live, right? 🙄) And then there WAS Low FODMAP. All of a sudden the SURPRISE sickness went away. There was no more guessing. It wasn’t UNPREDICTABLE. In fact, it was totally predictable. 💯 One of the biggest realizations was that even though gluten free and dairy free helped, there are MANY GF and DF foods that are HIGH fodmap because of their additives. When food companies take things OUT, then have to add things IN to make it work as a product. Many of THOSE things might be making you ill. We often think we’re taking the safe route by trying small things on our own, but y’all. It takes longer (years longer). It’s more painful (physically and emotionally). It’s more expensive (just ask the hundreds of dollars I spent on Imodium, ER visits, and costly products that were GF and DF that made me sicker). So, from a space of heart, please please please CHOOSE YOUR HARD wisely. This doesn’t have to be hard or painful. #TRUTHBOMB Your “shoulds” are giving you the shits. You’re should, should, shoulding all over yourself. ✨#protip ✨ When you say or think the “should” word... 1️⃣consider who / what belief it’s born out of aka WHY?
2️⃣decide if that belief serves your higher self
3️⃣change should to “could... if I wanted to.” 4️⃣ Ask “Why haven’t I?” EXAMPLE. “I should workout.” 1️⃣ WHY? Came from beliefs that women should look a certain way and the way to get there is to workout, that being someone who works out is better than not, that men like women who workout, that it’ll bring me stress relief... 2️⃣SERVE YOU? Some intentions serve my higher self like stress relief, endorphins, honoring what my body can do
3️⃣ I COULD workout if I wanted to.
4️⃣ WHY NOT? Because I don’t know where to start. Because Im afraid I won’t keep up with it. Because I don’t want to. Etc.
EXAMPLE. “I should be more positive.” 1️⃣WHY? Cause everyone says you’ll be happier. I do WANT to be happier.
2️⃣SERVE YOU? Yes. I know that positive people are happier.
3️⃣ I COULD be more positive if I wanted to.
4️⃣ WHY HAVENT YOU? Cause I don’t know how. I feel like I’m swirling, and I don’t know how to get out.
HINT. 🤙🏻 If that’s where you are... it feels a lot better to say “i may not know how now, but I’m so excited to figure it out. Clues are all around me.” than letting yourself be a victim and say “I don’t know how.” 💋 Whats the #1 should running through your head every day?
IDENTITY. For a minute there, IBS was it. It was the entirety of me. I was a victim. I didn’t know I was actually entirely up to me. Wondering how much of your identity is wrapped up in IBS? Ask yourself this question... “Who would I be without it?” The joy factor in this is that you GET to be without it. You simply decide it doesn’t serve you, that you’re worthy of health and happiness and love of self and others, and you’ll never quit until it’s not a part of yourself anymore. You’re worth the time, energy, money, and effort. And you’re going to figure it out. TRUST and BELIEVE. It used to take me over. I wouldn’t have gone to a beach far from a bathroom. I wouldn’t have eaten before leaving. I wouldn’t have brought Sunshine into conversation. I would’ve been a freaking nervous wreck and unleash that onto those I was with. So, if you need a wake up call... this is is. #ownyourshit Cause paradise is waiting for you and the only thing getting in your way... is you. 🐠🐟🐬🐳🐋🐡🦀 If you agree.
