I grew up on canned cranberry sauce, but since my switch to eating mostly real food, I make my own sauce! Not only is it pretty stupid easy to make, but it tastes better because it’s sweetened with honey instead of the sugar or even corn syrup that comes in the can. This @tessemaes recipe adds pecans, apples, shallots, lemon zest, and of course Honey Poppyseed dressing to add a fun twist on a traditional cranberry sauce. I even added some roasted pumpkin seeds for extra flavor and crunch. I made this for a Friendsgiving get together on Saturday and have been enjoying eating the leftovers ever since! Anybody else go crazy for cranberry? 🎄

Holiday pancake hack! These were so easy and delicious and taste like Christmas. My kids are already requesting that I make these again! Here’s the super simple recipe: Mix 1.5 cups of @birchbenders paleo pancake mix with 1 cup of @califiafarms holiday nog and 1/3 cup water. Cook according to package directions. (I always cook my birch benders in @fourthandheart vanilla ghee for extra flavor). ENJOY! In the words of my four-year-old “You gotta try these pancakes.” Let me know if you make them by tagging me and using #sbcholidaypancakes !
Our Walmart finally has them!!!! I got all of the options my store has. This was pretty good! I am so thankful this option is available for many reasons, budget being numero uno!!
Even though I now have a Natural Grocers within 45 minutes of my home, I really can only afford a Walmart budget 3 out of 4 weeks per month. When I started my health journey I was convinced I would only heal by eating 100% organic and 100% grass fed meat all the time. When I couldnt afford it, I felt like a failure and that I wasn't healing the "right" way. Truth is I have put a lot of my Hashi symptoms in remission by cutting toxins from my products, going gluten free and cutting out inflammatory foods while only eating the "perfect" foods a few times a month. .
This option at Walmart allows me to eat some of what I considered the best at the start of my journey, but at a price I can swing weekly!!! That is pretty fricking AWESOME!!!

Settling into my new Saturday routine: brunch with a friend and then a trip to the Target Surplus store for all the deals! 😂 So great catching up with @losing_for_health over this delish spread right here. Having gone through some recent stomach issues herself, it was nice to bounce ideas off her as I continue to better my health and fix issues. I know, I know, consult my doctor first. I am, but I think it’s good to advocate for yourself by learning about potential health issues. 👩🏻⚕️Plus I watch Grey’s Anatomy and I know for a fact that I hydrodisentiapotis. Duh! I still have half of this crab avocado toast sitting in my fridge, that I’m pretty pumped to have for breakfast tomorrow. Hope your Saturday is going splendidly. 😻
confession- I used to be someone who bought all the beauty and skin products that promised an amazing glow and perfect skin regardless of what ingredients were in them 🤦🏻♀️
Over the last few years though I’ve worked to change that. ALOT. one of the first things I did as soon as I got my starter kit was to put some frank and lavender in my beloved argan oil and over the last 6 weeks my skin has made some amazing progress. Previous acne spots have reduced, my skin feels tighter, and my I’ve got a nice little glow going. Going without makeup has gotten even easier
Give it a try-
2 oz argan oil (or face oil of choice)
20 drops frankincense
10 drops lavender
Apply it to your face and then use a jade roller for a mini spa experience and to help it absorb even better!

Another bagel sandwich! Because can you ever have too many bagels?? Yes, yes you can. But a breakfast sandwich sounded really good so here we are. @traderjoes gluten-free everything bagel, turkey, salami, an egg, and avocado. Just look at that yolk though 🤤🤤 My current health goal is to drink A LOT more water. I always carry around my tumbler but I need to do a better job refilling it 4 times a day. My body does not need any more iced coffee 😅
Woke up in a snow globe this morning! I traveled 5.5 hours yesterday to my families cabin in northern Wisconsin and today we woke up to it SNOWING!❄️
So I laid in bed a little longer, drank the biggest cup of coffee, and read my book💕
Last year I was not able to come up here because I had to work🙄(thanks to a terrible boss) and this year I decided to go up early and spend 5 extra days up here to make up for it😊 my heart and anxiety is happy! Just missing one thing= @wisco_cjs 💖
