This was quite a tough hike for me (seen as I'm not the fittest) but once we arrived at the lake it was all worth it. You gotta get out there to discover beautiful places!
If I had to look back to 2 years ago when I first started my fitness career, there were so many times I was unhappy with something, so many times I wanted to quit and numerous times I didn’t understand why certain things were happening to me.
Looking back now, three years later, everything connects. Even my worst moments ended up being crucial to set me up and prepare me for my best.
And, even when I couldn’t understand certain things happening in my life, once I came through, I realized it all made sense. Had not those things happened, I wouldn’t be who I am and I wouldn’t be on the journey I am on today.
It's hard to see this when you're going through your trials and tribulations -- that's why you need faith. Faith in yourself. Faith in your guidance, whether it be from a mentor or a book or stories from people who have gone ahead of you and are where you want to be.
Tough times do not last, but tough people do. A tough time in your life usually ends up being a defining moment. Let it define you in a good way. Let it toughen you up and sharpen your mentality.

I sometimes here people saying you can‘t overtrain, the only thing you can is underrecover and eat too little compared to your physical activity. Partially true I‘d say. This would mean whatever amount of physical acitivity you‘re currently doing you could always out-eat and/or out-sleep it right?
Let‘s first look at the nutrition side. Say you‘d eat already 3700 calories a day. Now you feel like coming into an overtraining state. So now you would increase your calorie intake to 4600 calories. And here comes the problem. First of all your body has limited capacity of storing glycogen coming from the carbohydrates. Sames goes for the protein intake, your natural hormone levels limit protein synthesis at some point. On the contrary, fats can get stored unlimited. Say out of those 3700 initial calories you got 900 calories coming from fats, thats roughly 100g of fats throughout the day. For the remaining 2800 calories you got 180g of protein (2.2x of body weight in grams for an 80 Kg guy which is way enough) and 502g of carbohydrates (this is already the limit for 90% of all lifters). Now, increasing up to 4600 total calories would mean you would need to add an extra 100g of fats per day which would result in a total of 200g of fats per day. You won‘t be able to add these extra 900 calories on the protein and/or carbohydrate side, because those storages are limited like I mentionned above. So, you would add them by increasing the fat intake. With 4600 calories and 200g of fats per day, the only thing that happens is that you get fat. Furthermore, eating so many calories with clean food is almost impossible without you feeling bloated and totally uncomfortable. NO YOU CAN‘T OUT-EAT OVERTRAINING.
Can you out-sleep overtraining? Let‘s say you sleep already 8 hours and get symptomes of overtraining. 8 hours is really good amount of sleep. What next, do you want to increase your hours of sleep to 12-14 hours? Trust me if you have a life and job you won‘t be able to do that. NO OUT-SLEEPING DOESN‘T WORK EITHER.
So yes there is such thing as overtraining. It‘s a condition and it takes a lot of time until you‘re out of it. Train smart, consider your limits!

I thought to myself we all have one of these things beating in our chests , no matter who we are , what species, what kind of being.

Counting the moments we have.
Just passing the time, beating away. Beating .
Life is so precious.
I thought this tiny little heart , in this tiny little being, right now beating for me.
I look at his face, his eyes are closed resting his weight in my hand .
