Dope Session with Xavier Smith this past weekend 🙌🏾 Highlighting his Quick 3 over 10 hurdles at 30 inches, spacing (10/11/12/13/14/15/16/17/18 feet) Focus - maintain the same rhythm as the spacing widen. Being reactive and holding body position with little to no pause in 'gonig through the motions'.👌🏾 Outstanding job Xavier! 🤜🏾🤛🏾 Full clip is on my YouTube Channel, left click on the link in my Bio. 👉🏾 www.youtube.com/teereesejr

Hurdle On To The Next... 🚧🏃🏾♂️💨
Didn't run today cause it was too cold? That's not a good enough excuse. Mandatory practices aren't set yet but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be practicing. Whether it's raining, snowing, or below freezing #dontstop#hurdles#track#team#strength#practice#run
I'm a loser!
It rare that we showcase our entire selves to the world (more emphasis on the bad). In athletics losing is a part of winning and not too many of us talk about how we handle our losses and setbacks. That's why I've dedicated every Monday in November to sharing how I took some of my most impactful losses and turned it around to use as motivation. Everyone takes an L, these are some of mine...
At this point in 2015 I had been through three coaches in one years time. I packed my entire life in a coup and left Syracuse for SC to a coach who in 3 months, ended up leaving to coach at another university and I wasnt invited. Adding insult to injury, I found out via a group text message he sent days before he left. By recommendation and convenience I found my next coach 131 miles away in the city of Columbia. I struggled with this new coach and this race represented the year and a half of plummeting my career had taken. I had become nothing more than background noise for the main attractions. My entire career had just been kicked in the mouth as my future in the sport seemed unsure ~6.25.15~
Hit the legs. This is all about the specificity of the angles and the depths of the jumps to the box. RDLs to prep for the jumps, jumps to the squats to prep for the higher jumps.
Sorry for the bad camera work but hard to try and capture the process mid workout, removed most of the fumbling around hahaha. Imperfection isn’t the end of the world. If demand is there I will have someone record the full routine together.
