Helping the hubs skin his elk.
Dan takes the elk to the processor we've used for years only to be told (quite rudely) they are at capacity and not accepting anymore animals this year. That processor prefers we leave the hide on.
So he takes it to another processor. They can take it but only if we skin it and bring it back. We'll get er done and back to the processor in the AM 👍
In two weeks I will finally be clear to go out hunting and be able to shoot at the range. It’s not fun recovering from surgery during hunting season 😭, but at least I’m healthy, my surgery went great and my recovery is going well too! Hopefully the 🦌 will still be walking around during late late season 🤞🏼
I may not have been able to harvest another animal this weekend but I was able to see lots of little bucks running around. Also, got around to processing last weeks meat and started my first DIY Euro mount!
I say “we” strongly because i didn’t pull the trigger, but we couldn’t even calculate the hundreds and hundred of miles(roughly 175) this season we have put on to finally get to grab ahold of one of these giants. You’ll have to rip our hands off applying for licenses to hunt these creatures to get the addiction to stop! Even had my dad there to experience it! @sitkagear Congrats to my good buddy
What's your guess on this bucks base measurements?
Congratulations to Team Member @timevans3131 of @advancedwhitetailsystems , Tim was on this buck playing cat and mouse with sightings and trail camera pictures. He stuck with it, developed a pattern, and finally got an opportunity to take advantage of! Great buck Tim! #DeerSociety#HuntNextLevel
