Cos someone told me to do this kind of stuff. 😝
Chinatown Complex Food Centre
Stall #02 -132
This stall sells fish soup (did not try) and also
Tau Kwa Pau. It is sold for $2.50 and 2 for $4.50. Comes with cup of Chinese Tea. Hard to find Tau Kwa Pau nowadays. The Tau Kwa Pau is packed with ingredients and is nicer than the one at Tiong Bahru Market. 8/10
1130-1830. Monday Off.
Stall #02 -115
Sells the normal You Tiao and stuff. Saw the Pandan Butterfly Fritter and decided to buy. The Pandan Butterfly Fritter has slight taste of Pandan but not strong enough, while the Red Bean Hum Chim Peng is normal. Can taste a little of the oil.
Pandan Butterfly Fritter 6/10
Red Bean Hum Chim Peng 4/10
Hong Lim Market and Food Centre
Stall #02 -45
This was nice in the past but the quality has deteriorated a lot. There is too much sweet potato and too little Gula Melaka that is still solid and not flowing out. ☹️ 3/10
Cost: $2.40 for 6
0830-1830, closed at 1630 on Sun. Mon Off.
You know I'm that one friend that's gonna call you before your flight to say, "don't worry gurl, you've got this. Your plane is going to land safely...in Afghanistan".
All jokes aside, have protected sex over there (because we always share drinks), try a German girl or just go for the bratwursts like I would. See you when you're back! 🙆🏻
