After getting over the initial sensory assault that Tokyo unleashes on new visitors, I found that I really enjoy wandering around residential areas. They tell me so much more about life in the metropolis. The kind of super ordinary stuff that you get to know when a place gets closer to your heart.

This is one of my favourite spots to watch the sun set in Kamakura. It’s in a car park that’s set pretty much on the beach. They also do the yummiest pancakes and the coffee ain’t too shabby. Just sayin’.
