Front Squat Tuesday!

Sets of 8 take some grinding. Especially the last 2 reps. They get heavy, quickly. 
Decided to throw in some overhead squats as it has been a while due to the impingement (which is still prominent, but I’m working hard on strengthening the muscles around the shoulder). OH squats felt good, as always it’s about he right feet placement. Once you have that, it’s a breeze.

Butterflies now feeling better than ever before. I’ve included them once a week for a 10 Min EMOM and it’s paying off.

And that’s the first proper time I’ve used the Ski Erg. I’ve played around with one before but not properly. Getting off after 1000M ... Talk about Tricep burn 😳

Fun though. As always, keep working, keep grafting. Keep hustling. We’re all on our own, non comparable journey. Get it right from the foundations up and you can do this forever. Create that blueprint ✌🏻 Side note -  @hstlmade gear arrived 😎

So this is what happens when you zone out during a bike because it's so much fun😢😢😢. The right side is what I was supposed to do and the left was what I did do. Why??? I didnt notice until my second increased interval that something was wrong. 🤮🤮🤮Oh well it happens. The harder part was keeping the low end stable. I'm pretty new to this @assaultairbike stuff but it's the only way to get better.🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

Today was a ‘just want to lift some heavy weight kind of session’...but oh yeah I couldn’t!😩 (I mean that DB felt heavy but that’s not the same🙈)
I think I had a full resting bitch face this whole session, I’m just bored and frustrated of not being able to train properly. My foot is slightly sore again which has me even more frustrated and thinking I’m going to be in the boot longer than I thought😒 - me feeling sorry myself rant over😅

Today, finally, some more food. This was another  #FIBERBOWL aka paleo pudding. 
So if you love to eat much, have voluminous food but also need to get some fiber in, here we go: .🔹 150g almond yoghurt
.🔹5-10g organic cacao powder (as chocolaty as you like)
.🔹20g psyllium husk seeds
.🔹water for consistency
.🔹any toppings you like
Just mix everything together. (With a spoon, don’t mix it). Let it sit for about 2-3min - then add more water and get more volume. Then top it with all the topics you like. I did frozen raspberries, plain rice flakes, plain quinoa flakes, cacao nibs, cinnamon and almond butter.

Not the best day of training today could have been much better! 
Started today with 30 strict handstand push-ups and 30 strict pull ups for time with that i hit 9:13 so wasn’t too bad. #bouldershoulders #shoulders 
The second part of my work out ‘Lynne’ consisted of 5 rounds max body weight (78kg) bench press and kipping pull ups all together I hit 72 wasn’t my best but also wasn’t my worst 🙄 
But I will learn from today and I will come back even stronger tomorrow #wedontquit #baddayattheoffice

Killer night tonight. Def had some heavy hitters with 7pm crew.  Captain is on vacation, and it's a well deserved vacation for her. Even with her absence, there were squats to be had. Working on a 1-Rep Max Front Squat, which is my worst squat due to hand positioning. Cant get better if ya dont work at it though. Jumped on the mix with Shawn and Lou, and thank God I did.  These two real pushed me for the last rep when I started to doubt myself, but sometimes that little external push can get ya over the edge. Shawn wrapped up at 195lbs. I said to Lou let's throw 5 more on for an even 200. He said, nah lets just put to more 10s on and see what happens. What happened was a new PR for me of 215, not sure what his pr was but he made 215 look easy. Time for the main event (I'll get to the picture of Sharon Stone in  a second), 21-15-9 of Power Cleans and Bar Facing Burpees. I set up the camera facing a different direction and just as we were about to start, I noticed i was face to face with a stick of dynamite known as Michelle. In my head it felt like a western showdown (insert western pic here) and I thought to myself, "I'm gonna try to keep pace with her". In the words of the Captain..."Ya Can't"...totally left me in the dust.  It's all good though, everybody killed it tonight. Can't wait to get back in about two weeks (work scheduling issues).

We loves the Deadlifts! 
They’ve felt the easiest they have done in a long time. Happy with those. 
Muscle ups today, decided to use my palm guards for them for the first time, no issues. Managed 5 sets of 3. Each set probably could have gone more, really coming along. 
Then the wod! Snatching on a fresh day is difficult. Snatching under fatigue is Mission impossible. Managed to get through it but didn’t hit that last snatch, just didn’t have the strength left for it.

Felt good to lift some weights after a 25 min run and 20 mins tabata abs.... I did CrossFit benchmark workout Linda but changed the weight to what I could lift.
.....................................................40kg for deadlifts and cleans and then 30 for bench press. ..........................................................Was annoying can’t bench 40 for many reps at the minute as had to keep changing weights on the bar each round 😡= 19.56

It only took me 3.5 months, but finally got around to mapping out the neighborhood. Well kind of. Missed a street because I made the assumption that if I kept to one side of the road, I’d eventually hit everything. But hey now I know lol. While I’m a little bummed that adventures were cut short this weekend, I’m grateful for the day off to recover and prep for the week. Headphones in, volume up, HR down, and feet forward. Kept it suuuuper chill just to get the blood pumping through my legs. Had I not missed that one street, then it would’ve likely been a full 10k to map the entire neighborhood. Happy Monday all. First and last #MedalMonday for a while, but if I’m only doing a few races this year then I want them to be like this. VIP camping spot again next to the final sprint to the finish, the best friends anyone could ever ask for, and performance improvements from years’ previous. Even with the rain and loud neighbors, still an epic weekend with the squad. I’m only sad that the weekend went by so quickly and we couldn’t spend more time together. I’m proud of everyone though. We all crushed our legs, but more importantly we all kept to our priority of having fun and cherishing each other’s company. Year 4 in the books. Already can’t wait for next year!
